I got a message from the hub pages team about a recent hub being a duplicate of another of mine.  All my work..

Yes, it was duplicated because I didn't quite 'get' how to work HP's in the beginning so I submitted that 'hub' in the comment column...I wrote it; however.

Now, I found old pictures to add to the story and wish to submit it as a HUB.

I HAVE deleted it from the the first hub:  Rescue cats, save cats we love cats.

If you can stop publishing so quickly, can you also allow publishing as I have sent 2 emails to that effect.  So, please publish the hub as it no longer exists in the previous hub. Ok?

When did you send those emails to staff? Since it is a moderation issue, chances are that they will respond sooner rather than later.

Thank  you for the fast reply.  I sent the emails during the last 2 hours.  I sure  hope they do respond because I have remedied the issue and there is only one hub entitled "We Didn't Wake You up to say Goodbye.'    the email, btw, given here on "meet the staff" doesn't work.  Anyway..problem fixed..now, if just needs to be completely fixed on HP's side.

We have responded to you multiple times. The content of your hub is already published under a different account on HubPages. For further clarification, please refer to one of the emails we have sent you.

Good luck! However, you'd be very lucky to get an answer within hours (that would almost make the Guinness Book of Records).

No kidding.  It's been 4 days....I ask again to the gods  out there....why is it taking so darn long when it was rapid fire rejected?  Doesn't "the computer" recognize a correction or deletion?  Just being a little ticked off, please excuse my sarcasm!  Kathy aka Lucky Cats

        Hey Lucky Cats,

You said it's been four days. Staff only has a minimum number of people working on the weekends and none of them answer emails. It's purely moderation of the forums and hubs/accounts.

You will have to wait for them to catch up with the emails from the weekend. So, I suggest patience and they will get to it. wink

Thank you Cagsil.  I  checked the "Meet the Staff" of Hubpages and, you are right; there are very few of them for all the 100's of thousands of us so, I shall wait.  I only hope that the option to "republish," or publish as a "new" (actual) hub is an option.

I understand your frustration. It works differently for different types of situations. For example, too many tags may be detected by a computer, and a computer may instantly detect once the excessive tags have been deleted. The system is designed that way. For duplicate content, chances are good that the detection was made by a computer; but the clearing has to be done manually by a moderator.

Ok...well, I'm waiting..I just checked the original hub to be sure that I'd successfully removed the content of the capsule "comments" and, sure enough, it's "out of there." (baseball metaphor)...so...I've done my part....next!  ;>)
