During a performance in England recently, Kayne West said "I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm f*ing insane, like I'm Hitler."

Has there ever been a performer who carries such an elevated perception of himself?  Wow, first he made little Taylor Swift cry  and now he's beginning to exhibit characteristics of a paranoid schizophrenic.

Honestly, I didn't even realize he performed anymore.  Wow, he's always doing something in an attempt to stay relevant.

Thanks for the Hitler reference Kayne, we appreciate it. (sarcasm)

I guess he didn't get enough attention during the first years of his life. He wants it now one way or another.

I live in England and certainly wouldn't look at him like he is Hitler, because I've never heard of him and have no idea who he is.

I live in the US, have heard of him; but still pretty much think he's grossly, grossly over-estimating the degree to which the general public is aware of, or pays attention to, him.  He ought to relax.  A whole lot of people just aren't looking at, or thinking about, him one way or another.   smile

@Sherlock:  what rock do you live under????  Just go to tmz.com every once in a while to keep up, not that keeping up with garbage is a good idea.  I'm just messing with you, you are probably better off not knowing who he is.

@ Lisa: that's the main problem, he's dying to be noticed, his act has become tiresome

I'm not even sure who he even is.

i think what he meant to say was that people look at him like they did Hitler, just before he too decided to give up rap music because he wasn't talented enough...

I wonder what people would have made of Hitler if he had dressed as in this picture.  Watching his speeches, he always looked comical, and it is hard to understand why people took him seriously.  Maybe if he was dressed as a rap star he would have been taken even more seriously, because the absurd seemed to appeal to the German public at that time.

A forum on HubPages really isn't going to set the world on fire for Kayne.  I was curious as to how others feel about him.

I liked a couple of Kaynes songs ,along with a few other rappers.

Not enough to ever buy their CD'S,but couple of them ,are good to work or excercise too ..

Ha!..Many rappers have this puffed up dramatised ideal of who are they are ,some of for marketing purposes ,and most of it just ego..
I think everyone was a gangster a few years back and soldiers (soulja's)...Puuuulease roll

Im not 'down wit dat' lol

I take it from the way Hitler is dressed in the above picture that Kayne West must be a rap star.  This would explain why I have never heard of him, because I only listen to proper music. I always think the "C" is missing from the beginning of the word "rap."

Not a huge fan of rap but there is some decent stuff out there. The late Gil Scott Heron for example. A lot of crap too but there is crap in country and in rock also.

Another rap person I have never heard of.  The problem I have with rap is that I can't tell the good stuff from the bad stuff, as it all sounds the same to me.  Back in the '80s, the first time I heard it, I thought our neighbours were arguing.  It took some time to realise it was actually a form of music.

I think Barry White may have really been the start of it all - and then people just took it in another whole direction.   lol  (I wonder if rappers would appreciate the comparison).
