I was going to say that I was going to hump someone's leg but I thought that would be inappropriate.

Anyway we now have a "missing summary" symbol on our hubs.  Thank you HP team, you have made my life easier as I've been half-heartedly trying to find hubs without summaries and add them.

LOL, then HP is doing you a favor.. Think how much more SEO those hubs will be with a keyword rich summary!  *ducks and covers*

Google and other search engines actually pull keywords from your body text more than your summary.  They want the description to be a good fit for whatever the person searches so a different description will be visible depending on the search term.

That being said, I'll probably slowly add in summaries just so I stop seeing the A's haha

I'm not sure why you went with the A though HubPages, because now some people are going to think they got a good grade on all those hubs. wink

You can thank Edward (ezhang) for this feature. smile

It's not a critical thing to do, but can help if you write something genuinely descriptive and unique.

Oh gah. I didn't need another area of SEO. I don't study it. I am too easily distracted to concentrate on all those SEO training sites. Probably why I have less than $2 here.
