I think wisdom is not born until after we learn to really hear how silly what we said really is.
Jerami, every person should think before taking any action and see the consequences, and reaction that will come from said action. Often, too many people act without having a complete thought. It's part of human nature.
Yep it is. Maybe we should all work on that cause everything that comes outa our mouths .... keep going like the energizer rabit.
Many need to, yet don't actually see that, due to ego.
It depends, some things end instantly and some things don't.
We might be describing two different ends of the same horse?
Two ends of the same horse is exactly what helps wisdom the most - the ability to actually see both ends as though you believe them - suddenly the whole horse becomes more real and balanced.
Don't gotta be wise to give somebody something to think about.
Actually; everybody is doing it.
I don't know. The older I get the less wisdom I feel I have sometimes. I guess it comes from life experience. But, I'm still learning lessons everyday, so am I acquiring any wisdom or not?
Wisdom is in the knowledge that one does not have all of the answers and is open to learning.
I would say wisdom is the balanced use of the little we do know, with what we think we know, in the knowledge that we actually know very little.
Hey DS, I would almost agree with your statement below, but maybe I can rephrase it a bit for a little more clarity(different type of understanding).
Learning brings knowledge and wisdom, while remaining open to answers.
Learning(includes experience) is the knowledge we need to accumulate and discern, so wisdom(truth) can be revealed. An open mind always reveals truth, based on knowledge(learning and experience).
Like I've said on these forums and to other people- all questions have answers and at times, the answers to some questions is in fact, that the question doesn't need to be answered, and that's the actual answer.

What shows that a person has wisdom?
by wesleyacarter 14 years ago
knowledge : intelligencewisdom : information-the difference between knowing a thing and using a thing. between reading about it and living it.-one created by experience, the other created by external means. -what does this mean to you?
by Jane Ramona Rynkiewicz Frieman 9 years ago
This quote is philosophical. In my personal experience, acquiring knowledge was not just handed over, it was a goal to be worked towards by way of learning life's lessons, reasoning out what's right and last but not least personal experience (what life has taught me). Feel free to express your own...
