I just wondered if anyone else experiences this.

Even though I ususally write my hubs in Word, there is still a lot of creative things that happen once I start to bring it over into the HP modules.  Sometimes, this process makes me re-think the title and/or category for my hub.  I think it would be extremely helpful if we were able to title our hub and chose the category at the end of the hubbuilding rather than the beginning.

If you want to change the title KCC, just delete the whole hub and start a new one - that seems to be the only way to do it!

I just end up changing the title and just let the link be worded differently.  But, it would be nice if we didn't have to do it that way.  It's a lot of work to re-do it all.

You can change your title any time after publishing. Just go into edit, change title, click done editing and that is it. The URL is fixed but doesn't matter for search purposes. I think categories are fixed as well. I don't think that categories are important if you want search engine traffic- hubpages isn't wikipedia yet. I constantly change stuff after publishing to improve visitor numbers.

I don't think a single one of my hubs still have their original title.  But, we wouldn't have to do that so often if we could simply create the title at the end.  Maybe it's just how I write that creates the problem.

KCC, That is a grand idea as I have often wish I could change the title after I begin writing and then get stuck with the title.smile

I change many of them before it actually gets published the first time.  But, doesn't that make titling first a joke anyway?  Do you see what I'm saying?  I almost just want to put ANYTHING just so I can move the next cell.

I assume we can't change categories after it's published, right?

in terms of SEO changing the title is not that good, and I dont think hubpages has a "permalink plugin to deal with "page not found"
