British royal family demands the ban of Press TV activities

   The UK Office of Communications (Ofcom) has succumbed to the British royal family's demands to ban Press TV activities despite the news network's compliance with the law.
   
   The British media regulator's decision is considered to be an abuse of the UK media law and the result of mounting pressure on the organization by certain members of the royal family and government.
   
   As an alternative international media outlet, Press TV took pains to break the mainstream media's total silence on the violations of international law and human rights committed by the UK government at home and abroad.
   
   So where is FREEDOM of SPEECH now then?

      'fraid the  British royal family can demand all they like but whether anybody will take any notice of them is a different matter.

            The British royal family in the Queen, have very few powers. Making policy is not amongst those powers and generally they keep their opinions very much to themselves.
            
            You can be pretty sure that any claims about Royal demands are a load of squit.

               You see my friend in today's society information is easy to manipulate and present - but the difficulty for the individual is deciding which one to take as fact and which one discard is just that - information.

                  So, one reference to a source that I'd already posted with nothing to back up your claim, and two vids from Press TV!
                  
                  As you say, and demonstrate, information is easy to manipulate.
                  
                  I do know that the British royal family have no political influence at all, even vaguely political comments have been shot down in flames in the past.

                        Yes, two separate articles that say much the same thing, and neither of them saying that the royal family influenced any decision by ofcom.
                        
                        I don't actually know a great deal about the royal family, I do know that they have no political influence.
