I've been testing my hub titles in every search engine and all the other search engines have me on the first page except G!
My traffic is the lowest since I've been a member.
How can they be so influential(or destructive?) . I've stopped using G for searches and now use yahoo and bing.

Welcome to the sandbox, Stacie!  We may have to change the sand more often as it's starting to get a bit crowded in here.  This is my corner, by the way!  lol

hi Randy. I've been hit before and suffered lost traffic, but this is the worst.
I'm back linking in as many places as possible .

people probably need to stop using G for searches anyway since i see a lot of crap lately on any of their searches!

Sounds like we need to set up some rules in this here sandbox then.  After all we could be here for quite some time and need to share nicely!  Time we started digging a nice, hot sandy snake pit for you Randy and a nice little, sunny relaxation area for Izzy and myself! LOL!

A whole new forum topic could be created.  Like "The Sandpit" this one could be called "The Sandbox".  sad

Hope it's not necessary for long, guys.

You could try an experiment by blocking off that top right ad. on a couple of hubs with some text and see if they fare better. Not suggesting you do this across the board just test the water with one or two. I am thinking of the above the fold update that rolled out recently.

the top right ads are googles ads...you think i should block them?

I've moved my affiliate ad capsules further down on my pages and check back every week.

Stacie I guess 2uesday said to block it by using a pic or something up there instead so that the ad comes a bit lower down and not right at the top.

2uesday correct me if I'm wrong.

i moved text and photos into the upper right on a few hubs and now waiting for the results. I write an other sites and moved all my affiliate ads further down when we were warned about googles latest threat. I didn't think they would penalize us for having their own ads in the upper "fold" lol

If you haven't noticed, Google Search and Google Adsense seem to hate each other. Adsense will tell you to do things that go totally against Search's guidelines. And Search will penalize you for doing things Adsense tells you to do.

So basically the big G doesn't know what its doing. They even punished Chrome or something that's what I heard - Didn't bother reading or finding out more abt it as I use firefox

That is just one impression of this but in reality, Websites with adwords campaigns are getting the leads. Google is not hating anyone on the web, They're just being biased to their adwords customers and their brand websites.

Well if you tool around the Google Adsense forums across the web you'll see a LOT of comments like,"Follow the Google heat map recommendations and risk demotion in the search results."
So it's not just me that thinks this by a long shot.

I have their ads on the upper fold and my traffic has never been better.

I was checking all my hubs on my second account to see what percentage of product ads they carried overall, as that account, while not sandboxed like this one, is up and down like a yoyo.

I have an average of 730 words per hub, and the product rate is less than one per 100 words. (.08%)

So I think we can rule our products from Amazon or ebay as being the culprits for pulling accounts down.

Only about 2 hubs out of the 69 use up their HP allowance of 50 words per product, the rest have far fewer products.

    I'm flummoxed!!!

Oh and as the rollercoaster started long before that latest Google update (the above the fold ads stuff), I don't think that affects them at all.

well I've been busy blocking the upper right ads(Googles) on many hubs and there is a rise in traffic. I don't know if its coincidence or not..
