I wrote a hub quite a long time ago, <link snipped>
and one individual has made numerous very long comments. I suggested to her that she write her own article a couple of comments ago. Now I have two very lengthy comments from her which quote another website and their view about child rearing. She credits the website but it is word for word. Is this considered spam? Should I just deny her posts? I am tired of hearing from her at this point and have never had this happen before.
I would delete it.
I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of years back when someone quoted an article from someone else's website on one of my hubs.
I asked here on the forums what I should do, and was advised to delete. That comment can cause duplicate content problems for someone else, and it adds nothing to your hub.
Delete it and close your hub to further comments (until you chose to reopen it again or not). This person is merely embedding spammy links via your article.
I think that you will find that long winded introductions (posts) leading up to the actual depositing of the link, are made to compensate for the reason that they know that what they are doing is likely to be frowned upon!
It is your work and your choice... if you do not want others to steal your lunch, piggyback or take advantage of your readership... then it's a Very Easy Choice.... isn't it?
Dale, Izzy and Pearldiver, I will close the hub to comments. Thank you all for your advice.

Is it permitted or prohibited to quote briefly from another HubPages article in an appropriate context my own article? This would be done of course with attribution, including the URL. The reason is that I've happened to find a quite relevant and well-phrased quote that would be useful in my own...
