The RNC was rigged, and horrible things were done for Romney.
But don't kid yourself, the crap would have happened if Ron Paul were a Democrat.

If you're still a member of the GOP, I can't be your friend anymore.
Every future GOP caucus and primary is a waste of time and effort.
The RNC rigging was of such a dramatic quantity that I had to come back.
I have been warning you all about this, but no one cared.
Have a good life.
I'm a registered Independent and can only say now that the convention is over that it is time for Ron Paul's supporters to stop whining. Paul has run for President as many times as Biden has. It wasn't going to happen. What needs to happen now is for the nation to unite and kick Obama to the curb where he belongs. Four more years of his socialism and we'll be toast.
Political zealotry is nice but at this point not needed. A vote for a third party candidate is like voting for Obama. That's factual because the numbers just aren't there. Stop your belly aching and think like an American.
The Frog
Replacing Obama with an almost equally bad Republican is even more redundant than voting for somebody who can't win. Those who do vote for Romney for this reason don't fully understand the truly bi-partisan nature of statism in the united states and its implications.
Voting Ron Paul or Gary Johnson in great numbers would at least demonstrate dissent. What you're saying by voting Romney is "more of the same please".
Good luck on HubPages, Innersmiff. I'm pretty much done with it.
For what it's worth, I'm voting Gary Johnson in November.
For Liberty!
Romney is a sack of crap and should be left out to rot like the rest of this country's refuse.
Hi Evan. Nice to see you back here amid the fray.
I just wanted to toss in a personal opinion. Political discussions are not battlegrounds. They are expressions of different viewpoints. Perhaps the saddest aspect of US politics is that too many Americans with different political viewpoints can’t still be friends.
Peace, brother.
When intelligent people on HubPages have been exposed to irrefutable evidence of a police state and still focus on popular media-prepared talking points instead of what we can do about it, libertarians get frustrated. I don't hold it against Evan for wanting to break away from that.
Evan do you think that only the Republican party is establishment? Really?
I am with the Frog in that Ron Paul was NOT EVER going to be nominated or elected.
That isn't as much an establishment thing as a case of he has too many issues with voters.
People aren't going to be comfortable with his legalization of heroin and personally I find his stance on 9/11 to be something I can't get around. He would not talk of it while he was campaigning as he knew the trouble it would bring him.
Fact of the matter is I really have not liked our choices until the Republicans did the smart thing and got Paul Ryan. At least there is someone out of the four actually thinking about solutions.
The Democrats hate and fear him because they know that he knows what he is talking about.
Did you watch the videos?
No?
Yeah. That's why I gave up on HubPages.
Ron Paul's epic attempt at the presidency has created an actual civil war in the Republican Party.
It is NOT being talked about in the media.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustration, Evan, but welcome to reality. I was a year older than you are now when I broke away from the two-party system, and started voting my conscience rather than the lesser of two evils.
Rodney Dangerfield said in an interview that when he was young, he had dreams of changing the world. Now that he is older, he still dreams of changing the world; he just knows now that he is not going to be able to change it.
As we watch the parties argue over which one truly is the lesser of two evils for this election, we might reflect on Einstein's statement that human stupidity truly is more vast than the universe.

It's been awhile since anyone has mentioned Ron Paul here. Evan G. Rogers, the biggest RP proponent, has been MIA.Good to see someone raising a ruckus!Your thoughts?Excerpted from article entitled "Romney Clinches Republican Nomination"(Hooray. We no longer have to refer to him as the...

Do you think there's still a chance that someone other than Romney or Gingrich will emerge and become the Republican nominee. Both Romney and Gingrich both have good, but not spectacular levels of support, and there is a sense that neither one of them quite fits the bill, in terms of what the party...

So the republican party is not only trying to suppress the vote of minorities, but now they have also been caught red handed trying to commit voter fraud in Florida.

A little backgroundhttps://news.yahoo.com/gop-warns-hr-1-c … 43930.htmlI find this more than a bit irritating about Republicans and conservatives generally. If you can't win the hearts and minds of the electorate with your ideas and policies, then your usefulness has come to an end."In...

In a recent poll, Romney edges out Obama in 2012. What really surprised me is that Huckabee and Obama are almost tied in the poll. Palin didn't fair as well. I hope she takes this to heart! Did you read what Mama Bush said about Palin? "She seems happy in Alaska - I hope she stays...

Why is the Media & Republican Party Snubbing Ron Paul from the Republican Nomination for 2012?Its pretty clear that Ron Paul who been a Congressman for Many years and probably the only Representative that cares about real issues like the federal reserve bank, and the TSA and all the wars taking...
