Please give credit where it is due. Obama has indeed keep his promise. He enacted changes for the worse and now we hope to vote him out.

Both the democratic and republican parties are well oiled machines.   They are not independent operators, they depend on special interest groups.   Many politicians are in it in order to further their career prospects and their connections to the powers that be.    They clearly are not concerned with the interests of the voter.   They want to garner as much votes as possible in order to get into public office.

They are not serving the public but rather themselves.   In order to get reforms and changes to occur for the betterment of this nation, there need to be a grassroots movement.   One need a politician who does not practice politics as usual.   However, this is not going to happen because the democratic and republican parties are extremely powerful.

In New York City, a lesser known politician was running for mayor and it seemed that this politician won; however, Mayor Bloomberg became mayor again.  This was his 3rd term.   The mayorality was supposed to be for 2 terms only.  Well, Mr. Bloomberg overturned this 2-term limit so he could be mayor again.    Democrats and Republicans have the monies and influence to overturn things in their favor which is often not in the interest of the public.   Yes, it is politics as usual and the only way to change this is to have a grassroots movement!   As the FOUR TOPS stated it's the SAME old song!

This is so true and what is funny is that as long as the two party system is in control they can't lose! The two parties control the topics, the platform, the media attention, the majority of donations, the bureaucracy and the candidates. How could a business fail if it has a bet on the only two horses in the race.

We need to clean the whore house on the hill and send the slime bags back under the rock from which they crawled. The question is how do you make the masses wake up and understand what is really happening. It's kind of like the Matrix which pill do you take the red pill or the blue pill?

That's the issue the dems are facing. Obama's changes haven't resulted in anything positive so he can't really run on his record.

If the average American wants change today, he or she will have to change the occupant of the Oval Office.

I don't know if you could say that averting a full on depression isn't a type of change that Obama has at least been a part of. You have to look back and see the devastation Bush reeked on the economy with his trickle down economics and deficeit spending orgy that Obama inherited.

Bush's tax cuts contributed to record budget deficits during the Bush administration, raising the US National Debt to $10.9 trillion by the time he will leave office on January 20th 2009.

      Additions to National Debt
      2001 - $144.5 billion
      2002 - $409.5 billion
      2003 - $589.0 billion
      2004 - $605.0 billion
      2005 - $523.0 billion
      2006 - $536.5 billion
      2007 - $459.5 billion
      2008 - $1017.0 billion (estimated)

What could anyone do with the magnificent horrendous mess Bush handed Obama do but make slow steady progress out of the abyss.

There has been steady GDP growth abeit very slow and somewhat negligible but not the depression numbers like Hoover ignored and cast the nation into the Great Depression with. He wanted the free market system to figure that whole mess out just like Romney wanted in 2008.

I can't say that I like all that Obama has done but I do care that he did something for the people to at least survive a little instead of the GOP's version of trickle down and free market mumbo jumbo that has thorughly been disproven time and time again.

"Insanity is doing the same thing in the same way and expecting a different outcome."
      Chinese Proverbs

If Obama gets elected and congress doesn't address the incredible economic disaster of the debt ceiling soon there is going to be much more crying and gnashing of teeth. Same thing goes for Romney if the GOP doesn't gain a Senate majority.

Difficult to change anything with a House full of poeple whose only real goal is to deny Obama a second term. GM is still around too.

While all the Obamabots were chanting 'Hope and change", the more thoughtful among us were asking: "Hope for what, and what sort of Change are you talking about?"

    Now we know.

'Fundamentally transforming America' has left us with millions unemployed, millions of new welfare recipients, and a very diminished America, which is exactly what anti-colonialist, Barack Hussein Obama wanted all along...a diminished America, cut down to size, and far less influential as a world leader.

Those are the "Dreams from my Father" Obama wrote about and is currently putting in place. This is what he was apologizing for as he toured the world. This is why he was bowing to other world leaders.

And this is why he must be replaced in November.

Great responses , all we have to do is look at the numbers alone , the debt!  The energy prices , healthcare costs, the  magnitude of our education failures,  And the simple and clear fact that President Obama  has had all the goverment support  to change anything he could have wanted to , even the media's on his side ! GMWilliams is right ! We need a grass roots movement to oust the incumbant spenders ! Untill   -YOU and I -,start looking beyond the rhetorical crap and vote the numbers , nothing will ever change..... Vote them all out untill the newbbies get the messege?
