Prediction ....A revelation !.Within about twenty five years I believe there will an invention that will render oil and gasoline use almost obsolete ! At which point the entire middle east will be nothing but a "red headed step child", to the entire world . At which time you can then return to your desert strongholds and play warlords and tribal wars . You will have missed your chance at advancing your cultural and political place into the rest of the world . At which point we will then gladly send your political diplomats home to you ! However we will not kill them first !
This is an interesting thought! I wonder what will come of the American souls who are over in the countires of the Middle East? The mission folks and those who have decided to live there.
The oil companies know this and are raping us while they can. There is technology that separates hydrogen from water as a portable unit that can run current internal combustion engines. The byproduct is H2O! Guess who has the rights to the patents?
Interesting thought .
Have you ever seen the movie The Wind and The Lion? Sean Connery and Candace Bergen?
If you haven't you should give it a look sometime. It is based on true events from the Teddy Roosevelt era.
Sean Connery plays a Berber sheik and his comments sound awully modern.
It blows my mind that our own leadership is the ultimate culprit in this conspiracy aginst our own people , it makes me ashamed to be an American at times. !
All the more reason that green energy solutions should be found as soon as possible.
"Within about twenty five years I believe there will an invention that will render oil and gasoline use almost obsolete !"
Nice if it actually happens. Of course, if we would drill here in the U.S., telling the environmental weenies to take a flying leap, the price of gas would come down and we could tell the sheiks, imams, and dictators of the world where to go on a rocket ship.
"You will have missed your chance at advancing your cultural . . ."
The extremist are a people who have no desire to advance anything but their so-called religion. They want to live in the 12th century where they can treat their women like property and act like school yard bullies.
The non-extremists - everyday, hardworking Muslims - may have every desire to advance themselves but that will never happen until they stand up to and exterminate the extremists. Until that happens, the weight of complicite complacency will sit squarely on their shoulders.

Why do people make "goat" jokes when they talk about ISIS and the Middle East? What is with the goats? Why do they bring them up? What part do they play in the culture?

The conflict in the Middle East is a religious war and unless people in this religion suddenly adopt a secular society or different faith, I don't see US involvement as good investment of resources and lives, what do you think?

Are the popular protests in the Middle East genuine, or is there a "foreign" hand involved in directing what is happening, as it is frequently claimed.
