For the first time in 5 years, my traffic for one day has tripled. What's going on?

I've had this happen once in awhile and frankly I think it's a glitch in the system somewhere...but enjoy it while it lasts.

It's strange. You may be right.

      William:

Same here.  I have had more hits today than I typically have in one week.

      Hi William,

I noticed the same thing about 2 months ago and again about 2 weeks ago. I wonder if staff was able to do anything to help hubpages become more popular. I will tell you that I have also seen job postings on careerbuilder for hubpages writers so I'm wondering if people are starting to search hubpages for articles first

Had this happen yesterday.  A hub that gets 80/day is at 600/day.  Most from google.  Does make me wonder if a bot or a glitch got it.

Where is the traffic coming from is the big question: check your stats and then report back!  smile

Thanks, Paul. I just checked my traffic, but I can't tell what's happening.
There are just a few hits on dozens of my hubs -- even the ones that they have the ZZZ's, which are most of them. But the hubs that usually get a little more traffic than the others still show more hits than usual. I guess I'll just wait and see if anything changes.

Google analytics is best, but just going to "Traffic Sources" on the stats page of your HP account will give you a rough idea of where your traffic is coming from.

According to Traffic Sources the largest number of hits by far come from Google, but when I look at the hubs statistics the large majority of hits are listed as "not discernable."

I've had a slight jump the last 24 hours, which is good, following a period of slow hits.
