I don't know if anyone has already talked about this guy. He has a site about "craft site promotion". He has some of our craft stuff on there and not with a link back to our hubs.
I have one hub that has always been on first page of google number one. Now it's number two and ask is number one with my hub listed on the ask. The craft guy is number 9 first page.
I don't know what google is thinking when they put a question and answer site ahead of the real hub. It seems crazy to me.

Yikes, that sucks! Have you filed a DMCA complaint over the stolen content? http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/how- … -complaint

Simone, I haven't yet but will do that. I was hoping to find an email on the site and email first but so far I can't find one.

I did file a DMCA. Today I got a message from Google, (The following URLs will be removed from Google’s search results in a few hours:).
The worst part of it was his site didn't make any sense and it was number one for awhile on the google search and is still on page one but should be down sometime today.

aren't our hubs automatically copyrited?  Do we need to put the copyright verbage on the bottom of our hubs?

It up to you, the author, to defend your copyrights.  That part is not automatic.

Even though they are copyrighted, people still steal them.  By law, anything you put down in writing is copyrighted, even if you don't state it, however, that doesn't stop the sleezes among us!
Relache is right, its up to us to defend our work!

I think they are automatically copyrighted. But it still is a good idea to put a copyright sign at the bottom of the hub.  A lot of hubbers are doing that now.

Google puts new sites with a handful of tweets or likes ahead of websites which have college professors who have done extensive research on a topic and have authority backlinks and articles featured in the Washington Post and a host of others trusted sites. I guess they feel the recent tweets from a non-power user are more valuable. Their days are numbered. I just wish Bing would take notice.

Good On You!  Following through is Always the best action... now that you have got a wee buzz out of taking one thief down, imagine the power you will feel when you knock the sites down!  smile

I'm so pleased that another person has actually taken the time and made the effort to successfully achieve the right result for all writers! Each time one writer is able to knock down a thief, we all benefit and so, don't even hesitate next time... as there will be, unfortunately, a next time!  sad
