What is the new non-featured-Engagement status of the hubs?
I am assuming this refers to low viewing figures (or possibly a high bounce rate) as opposed to a problem with the quality of content.
Engagement refers to views, comments, and search traffic according to the HubPages FAQ, item 17. It appears you can get a blue H and have your hub not featured if it is not getting enough engagement.

Yep! What mistyhorizon2003 and drpennypincher say is correct!
This Hub is not Featured because it does not receive sufficient engagement. Try updating the Hub with recent information and descriptive, search-friendly sub headings.
I am assuming this means that either hubs get low traffic or very little comments or both.
Totally agree with the facts @drpennypincher
I would like to know if i have visitors and comments on my hub then why still hub is in non featured zone while other hub with low traffic are featured.
There's traffic and then there is traffic. Being featured depends on getting organic, search engine traffic - not on getting traffic from links somewhere.
I would guess that if you are getting comments it is probably from friends, family and hubbers. For the most part I find that is who comments, and those visitors are not from a search engine such as google.
Appreciate prompt action. So you want to say is if i got visitors from search engine then i would get my hub featured. Well if my hub is not featured then how it get indexed by search engine and if it is not indexed then how i get visitors from search engine ?
Sorry to say but i didn't get your answer exactly what you want to say .
As I know, engagement is how well the the hub connects, and relates with the readers,
Thanks guys for all the inputs. Hubpages seems to bring in more and more of changes every day. Sometimes it just confuses me.

Is it possible that, even when a Hub is in Idle Status, it could still be found on the Web and get views and thereby come out of Idle Status? I ask this because I was searching the Web on a subject and accidentally found a Hub and when I checked the Hubber's profile, this particular Hub was not...

I've been following the thread re: problems with the unfairness of idling hubs for low traffic. I went to FAQ and LC to find what criteria determines one getting idled. I couldn't find anything. I know it's obviously about low traffic but what is the measure? 1. Low traffic or no traffic for 30...

How is it that a hub on the 'common mistakes new hubbers make' can suddenly become not featured, in spite of the fact it has had 9 views in a day, 24 views in 7 days and 35 views in the last 30 days? I only replied to comments on it both 42 hours ago and 22 hours ago (from two different hubbers)....

I'm not asking about why hubs get featured or un-featured. I kind of know that. The issue is: I just did a category search in my hubs, and found that, out of 292 published hubs, 149 are unfeatured due to low traffic! That's a lot! Over half my articles! I don't have the time...

Well, when you are suffering from depression and you opened your hubpages stats then you notice that 9 of your supposed to be featured hubs got unfeatured due to lack of traffic.. Very disappointing indeed but, can you guys here suggest some tips in improving hits? I don't want to spam my facebook...
