   not guilty verdict, the Department of Justice intends to review and decide to further investigate the case in order to determine if Trayvon Martin's civil rights was violated. What is YOUR opinion regarding this?

      I don't believe anything will come of this. Obama has already asked us to respect the verdict and I think it's very unlikely that the DOJ would find any additional evidence that the Prosecution overlooked.
      
      Plus, the vice chairwoman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Abigail Thernstrom, denounced Obama for his comment about a son of his looking like Trayvon, so I don't see anything coming from that arena at all.

            It seems Obama has this cult following and many hang on his every word, he very well could have tainted the jury pool with his stupid statement. He has a habit of involving himself in things that the media declares racial.

               As a President of the United States and a Constitutional Lawyer you'd of thuk that he would of had enough comment sense not to claim a potential attempted murderer would look like his son. Honest reaction or no, it was pretty stupid and supports claims of him (Obama) being a racial opportunist.

   I seriously want to believe in the justice system but unfortunately justice in America has for a long time has been elusive. Just like before one can go through the motions but after it's all said and done nothing has changed.

   My opinion is that the people in your pic aren't interested in "justice" - they are interested only in punishing Zimmerman.
   
   We as a country have given justice our best shot and decided that Zimmerman was not guilty of anything requiring that he be punished.  Whereupon mob rule is taking over and demanding that he be punished anyway, regardless of guilt.

   When the FBI looked in to this last year their report stated they found no evidence of racial bias. Case closed. Now sue the hell out of MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CNN.

   All that is true…but what Ms. Thernstrom does not seem to understand is that African-Americans, no matter how affluent or well-educated, are profiled all of the time. If the president had a son, he would have been subject to such profiling, and anyone who is African-American knows that. Many prominent and well-educated African-Americans have been profiled and treated quite poorly by law enforcement officers. It is a sore spot, a blazing fire in the lives of African-Americans, and time has not made it any better.
   
   bottom line is, Ms. Thernstrom, is that at the end of the day, Obama IS one of them, and he knows it.

   This is NOT a federal issue.
   Period, the end.
   If the family want to pursue a wrongful death suit, that is their business.
   In civil court in Florida.
   
   
   Not to be callous here, but there are 313.9 million people in the United States.
   If Eric Holder is running short on to-dos, I have some ideas.
   And hey Congress -- how's that GUN CONTROL legislation Americans favor overwhelmingly coming along?
