Hi, I have been using allot of my own photos. In the properties of the photo I enter myself as the author. When I upload the photo into a hub I use my name as the source.
Should I instead be sourcing the photo to the URL of my Hub profile page, or other method?

    Thank you for your advice.

    Colleen

Do not use a link to your subdomain in photos. That's a dangerous practice because doing that too many times is considered spam linking by Google. The links in the photo capsules are all followed links so be very, very cautious about using any URL there.

I have seen hubbers place the link to their subdomains either in the text capsule or within a Made for Pinterest photo. Is that okay or not advisable either?

On each of your Hubs, you already have a link to your subdomain.  You shouldn't give another one. As far as placing a link on a photo, there is no way to do that on HubPages.

Oh. Okay. I guess what I saw was for informational purposes. Can't remember what or who's hub it was. Maybe they'll see this thread and chime in.

Just use your name as the source. You do not need to list the source or place a link if you own the photos/rights.
A better scenario would be to place one link to your work and leave the others photos without links. i.e one link on one photo and no links to the other photos within one hub

      Hi Colleen,

As many Hubbers have kindly mentioned, you can can credit your own photos with your name or username. If you'd rather not use a name, you can also simply put "author," "self," etc. Since the photos belong to you, you can pretty much attribute them however you want, though it's good to let your readers know that they are your own photos somehow, since it helps build author credibility. smile

I like to put my full, real name as the official photographer.
