Or - so to speak - we perceive only the tip of the cosmic iceberg..

This is not not agrue with anyone, or prove or disprove anything - but simply sharing my innermost feelings and experiences - the essence of my life.

I shall die one day, and everyone will, no matter what they believe or do not believe. An atheist would die too someday, so would an agnostic - their 'rational' outlook will not save them from extinction.

What it really comes down to... is this: that we really do not know much, neither are we *aware of* much. The cosmos - the 'BOX' inside which we have been placed and masterfully integrated - seems to lend us only a fraction of its true beauty and grandness -  ...not to say the exact mechanism by which it is held up in its place.

      Right.

      Okay.

      Right again. Good start.

      Right again.
You just went on and on about how little we know and then you pretend to know how the cosmos was constructed? When we use our intuition for something that it had not evolved for it will be wrong most of the time.

I would agree that would be a view held by you personally that doesn't really apply to others.

Well - at least - it doesn't apply to troubled people.

The universe isn't full of beauty--it's full of horrific abominations that want us dead. Let's see how beautiful a pulsar is when it melts your face off with gamma rays, or how wondrous a black hole is when it rips your legs clean off your spine and you bleed out in the merciless void.

Are you explaining to us some newer methods for committing suicide? smile

No. Just reminding you that space is full of horror. Like this monstrosity that greets us every day.

I can only assume you mean that metaphorically, or you live in a very interesting neighborhood.
