When I look at my stats (I have 8 hubs so far with scores from 65 to 90--all featured), I see most of my views come from hubpages and only very few from google, bing, facebook, etc.  I promote all my hubs the same as I do my blog posts using fb, g+, Twitter and I average100 or so hits a day via google, etc. for my blogs. Why so few for the hubs?

I have linked my hubpages account to all my social media accounts and my AdSense account on my hubpages profile/settings page. Once a week or I do a post on my blog and include links to all my hubs to remind blog readers that I have stuff for them to read and to create backlinks.

I tried to get an Google Ad Sense but was declined until I had 10 featured hubs, so I'm working on that but will apply again after I get more than ten hubs. I tried posting links on my facepage but get little traffic from them.

How old are your Hubs in relation to your blogs?

What you are describing is extremely typical for someone who has only been with HubPages for a short time and only has a few Hubs.  Which is your situation too.

I've done the blogs for about three years. I started hubpages about 5 weeks ago. Good to know that I can expect traffic to pick up. My to newest blogs started about 2 months ago get only 10-20 hits a day so I think you are right. Thanks.

          Hi,

I try to be positive and hope for the best, will keep on writing so maybe traffic will pick up. I've noticed that on FB that a lot of them just want a person to like their page and when they come to my page they leave comments wanting me to click their links, but don't seem to be clicking mine but I will keep on trying. Someone once told me "That a person can weather the worst of storms before they see the light in anything they do, that all they need to do is have faith all will work out." Author unknown. Someone I met in passing. Good luck in your writing.

How do create a backlink? Is it the link you post?
      Thanks

A backlink is when there is a link to your hub using the hub url someplace else on the net, like on social media, your own website, or blog.  Even better is if someone else puts your link on their content.

CatherineGiordano: I have a Blogger blog but don't do any promotion of it. Can you suggest ways to promote?  Also, I cannot figure out a way to put a Pinterest button on it. Can anyone out there help?

Just copy your images and post on Pinterest or use the link from the blog.
For promoting keep the items you do so in mind. According to some data the following are the optimal times to publish or rather post on these sites:

      Twiiter:  1-3pm
      Facebook: 1-4pm
      LinkedIn: 5-6pm
      Tumbler: 7-10pm
      Pinterest: 2-4pm
      Google +: 9-11 am
      Scoopit: 12-1 pm
