I am posting this on behalf of a transferred Squidoo member whose account has been banned. She says she has emailed the team several times since the ban and has not received any response. She does not understand why she was banned.

Should this person have received a notification of her ban with an explanation, or is it not HubPages' policy to explain?
Quite ironic that I dreamt of being banned from HP last night!
I have been trying to republish few lenses which seem to have been copied while it was still published on Squidoo. They were locked because of the infamous Squidoo filters, and I have already received 2 warnings from HP staff for duplicate content, and reminded that repeated attempts will have me banned. I have tried searching the texts on Google and on Plagium, but those did not work at that time.
There might be a possibility that the above user might have become a victim to the same. In this turmoil state, I wish HubPages would clarify her as to why her account was deleted. We have been through a lot and we could use every help we need.
When I had a similar situation, I contacted support and they were able to tell me where exactly my content had been duplicated, so I could submit a DMCA to the plagiarist blogger. That person finally took down my copied article and I'm just waiting for the text to fall out of Google cache entirely before republishing the affected hub.
I did exactly as you said, Sockii. Google denied the first request and it took about 15 days for it to transfer the appeal to the Blogger team. Finally, when I had the chance, I published it. Who knew another sucker had already copied it too. Apparently, few paragraphs of HUNDREDS of Squidoo lenses are copied by the same webpage. I pm'ed two ex-lensmasters but haven't heard from them.

Hi Marisa,
It is our policy to respond to emails of banned and non-banned Hubbers alike. If she emailed in the past couple days, it's possible we haven't gotten to it due to it being the weekend when fewer employees are working. In any case, her email will be replied to soon (I'll check the inbox today, actually).
Thanks for looking out for her and giving us a chance to clarify our policy.
Best,
Camille
It has actually been over a week, I forget exactly when the ban occurred, but she stated she did email more than once.
I personally want to thank you Marisa for trying to help. I have seen several of your posts since we got here on HP and I appreciate the manner in which you typically offer your assistance.
I agree. It is always nice to read a gentle, helpful response, and I am hoping the person who was banned gets an explanation shortly. She must feel horrible, and helpless...
Hey friend,
Yes, I hope the lady this morning does some investigating and finds the emails. If not if she, or someone, checks out Loretta's account and contacts her! They do have her email account.
Did she create new hubs? I don't think a squidoo user could have been banned for transferred squidoo articles because there's 4 months to fix that.
For Staff:
October 3 at 5:31pm this is the date of the ban, and the time she posted about it. So, any emails would have been in that time frame of a few days.
Oct. 6th- the hubs are all still in my account, I can login and see them on the backend, I just can't publish anything (new or otherwise)
October 6 at 6:52pm
Marisa and....
I just read that Loretta received communication from Staff and it was a bot that banned her, in error and she is now re-instated. This is what she wrote:
update; finally got a reply with an apology saying the account was mistakenly banned by the automated bot and is being reinstated. It was down for over a week, so I'm sure that will take some recovery time. That was really frustrating...
Kathy, that is the best news I have heard this morning. I was delighted to read about the reinstatement here, and on the other thread. God bless Marisa for jumping in to help!

So I've been a Hubpage and Squidoo writer for the past 5 years. Recently, my 185 Squidoo hubs were transferred over to Hubpages and to start earning money, I applied for the Google adsense program about 2 weeks ago. It appears that my account was approved for a couple days and then I...

www . bubblews . com/account/324477-foodlovinguyThis loser seems to have taken the introductory paragraphs from a number of former Squidoo lenses - which are now on HubPages. Two of my food articles were copied in part by him and I know a number of other former Squidoo lensmasters affected. So if...

Big news today, Hubbers! Over the next several weeks, HubPages will be acquiring key content from Squidoo. Please be sure to read Paul Edmondson's blog post and our recently published FAQ (or Squidoo's blog post and FAQ) for more details. Feel free to post any questions you have...

I got banned from Hubpages because of violations. I agree with the mistake, I did. But now I want to join HubPages back. I am sure that I will not repeat the same mistake again. What is the possible way to get back to HubPages and start making money again?

I filed a DMCA report for a page that copied my hub. The hub existed as a lens since 12/12/10.The content is obviously and clearly copied and even mentions that it was taken from Squidoo at the top. Yet Google rejected the URL for removal.I hope it is OK to list the URLs here so people trying to...

But when I followed the link it brought me to this site:http://www.bwebcentral.com/blog/1/and the entire contents of my hub including the hubpages warning for my eyes only saying it had been copied was displayed. This is worrying! The comments section and everything is appearing. How can this have...
