Hub Pages says there is an earning program without Adsense but I can't find it. Can you earn money on Hub Pages without Adsense? How?

you still can earn with Hubapges's ad program , amazon. But without Adsense, you will get really low revenue.

If they're saying that somewhere, it's misleading.  You need an Adsense account.

The main income source on HubPages is the HubPages Earnings Program.   You can sign up for it, but until you've got an Adsense account, you can't earn anything from it.

Without Adsense, the only way you can earn money is from your own Amazon account or by using affiliate links in your text.  The earnings potential from those options is so low, it is simply not worth doing.

You need to write another 15 Hubs, then you can apply for Adsense and you'll have a good chance of being accepted.

        Marisa,
I have been hesitating whether to apply for an Amazon associate account, as I do not have an Adsense account yet. It was helpful to read your post above that it may not be worth it, although a bit discouraging.

I am a transferred squid with 25 hubs. As I edit and republish my hubs, my questions are:
Do I leave the Amazon capsules active on my hubs even though I can't earn commissions?
Does Hubpages get paid from impressions since I am not yet earning through the HP Ad program?
        Thank you.

Yes, HubPages earns from your Hubs even if you can't.

However, I'd say that is very close to being irrelevant because if you apply to Adsense in a week or so, you're likely to be accepted - so I suggest that's what you do.  Then you'll be able to sign up for everything.

            Thanks again, Marisa.
That's great if I could be accepted for Adsense in a week or so. I've got some work to do on the hubs before applying, but you have now motivated me by sharing your advice. I really appreciate your reply.

You don't need AdSense to sign up for an Amazon account and earn money immediately from your Amazon capsules.  Here's how to do that:

I have 73 hubs transferred from Squidoo, and am still in the process of improving them.  My lowest score is 63 and my highest 92, so my average hubsocore is now 77.  I applied for Adsense when my lenses transferred and was refused bec. of low content, but they said they would re-consider.  I have made a lot of improvements, but still need a lot.  Should I ask them for re-consideration now or wait?  What is a good average score?  Should I wait to my average hits 80 to try for Adsense again?  What do you think?   Can someone give me an idea?.  Thanks

Adsense does not look at your score and neither does anyone else.   Scores are simply an internal HubPages measure, and they tell you virtually nothing!

Any Squids who applied on transfer were rejected.  Adsense requires longevity as well as quality of writing, so they won't even consider you until  you've been here for a month.  You've now been here two months so you should apply again, and you'll probably get it this time.
