I see my hubber score has gone down 2 points since yesterday.
All I can say is: Hugs AND kisses!
It bounces wildly. I deleted a hub, score went up 4. Wrote a hub, it went down 3.
So maybe by the time we die, it all evens out and we really fretted over nothing. Oh the irony.
Usually goes down for 24 hours after a hub is published and then rebounds higher.
Ok, I just went and checked, my hub has 2,250 words... that's pretty good for me, 'cause I like 'em shorter, but I guess I had a lot to say. No spelling errors, so hopefully it will be published and then I will be at a 99 for sure! 100 if I hub hop!
Sed-me- Keep your head up! HP is notorious for NOT being reactive. By that I mean, whatever you do; write a new Hub, delete an old one, rewrite a poorly performing one, whatever, HP will not indicate any sustained reaction for days.
And your hubber score? Picture three Voodoo witches dancing around a fire, chanting with your Hubs in one hand, and a large Doobie in the other, making changes to your score.
DON
Did I say two points? The total is now three. I should have put my ice skates on this morning.
Like few months ago I had a score of 86 but most of my hubs were old and not featured. Had only 19 featured out of 72 hubs.
Then I decided to edit and improve a lot of them. I managed to improve around 30-40 hubs, add videos, more images, format them nicer... Yesterday got a badge of 50 featured hubs but my score now is 79
My average hub score was 62, today it is 67. One not featured was with a score of 84 for a long time. I wanted to make it even nicer and just added couple of images, videos and some small changes. It felt down to 65
Recent month I even comment on forums, had few best answers, followed some people etc... But still nothing, it even drops!
When I published new hub and it got score of 83 I felt from 81 to 79. I suppose when I improve all the hubs and fix a lot of things I will have hubber score of 50
edit: So do not give up! Let's compete who will improve their hubs faster and reach the magic hubber score of 50 first!
Lol, No! Don't say that. I am ashamed to admit it, but HP has so much power over me. The more my score drops, the more bummed out I get. Before they made those changes, my scores were in the 90's and even 100 a few times... and the funny thing is, the score meant nothing to me. I really didn't care. But when it took a nosedive, all of a sudden, it became important to me. Grrrr. So unfair. lol
Before Sept. 25th my views were close to 5000 a day, now they are under 1000. It SUX!!!!!
Beth, I had no idea you were so vain. That being said, why the hell did my hub score drop, I didn't even do anything yesterday?! It was 94, now it's 90! I can't go back to the 80's, I can't! I won't!
Hate to have to tell you this but it says 89
Hubber score is meaningless. Same as Hub Score, accolades, number of forum posts or followers.
The only figure that means anything is that income one.
For a year, I was away from HP. I didn't do anything in forums, do any hub hopper, update hubs, or add any hubs.
Hubber Score was higher when I returned than it is now.
My hub scores, essentially where they had been.
Now it is the more you do, the lower your score goes.
The longer the hubs, add the images, add the words, add the video, blah, blah, blah, the scores are ridiculous.
I have added at least 30 hubs since I returned, and the earnings are in the toilet. So, I guess the more hubs, the better the earnings is a myth, unless you make sales.
I added a hub today... it had like 1200 or 2000 words.. can't remember, but right after I published it, my score dropped another point. WHAT DO THEY WANT, BLOOD? (Cause I can give it... just tell me where to send it.)
Edit: I just went up a point. So it's blood you want eh? I think I'm A+. Im anemic. I hope that doesn't knock my score down, but it's yours if you want it. I just need a few drops and I'll be fine.
They want you to hop some hubs. Do that and you will get your 3 points back.
No worries if you are anemic, one kidney will work fine also!
Blood is easy to come by. I only give my organs for a solid 100.
I would give it even for 90, I am a smoker, I drink, I do have a big belly, no use of any part of me
Stop, you're going to start a frenzy amongst the single girls. lol (Look out, I'm gonna wink... here it comes! There it is!)
Lol!
If you write more Hubs, your score will go up.
For instance...
When I had 10,586 Hubs on this account, my Hubber Score was 862. The highest in the history of the wirrold.
Lolz!
The history of the world? Very impressive.
That's not factual though. I had at least 80 hubs and they were published... I had a score in the low 80s if I remember correctly. Let's face it, they hate me.
Lol! "..and they were published". got me.
I can't believe you just said that what I said is not factual. That hurts me right here, in the ventricle.
What?! They were all published... am I saying that wrong? I can't remember all of a sudden.
Ok, off topic, but I started this thread so the OP is ok with it...
I used to think it was "All of the sudden." I guess I had heard it wrong my whole life... IDK.
Then one of my English friends called me on it. I was like, "What? You're mental!" (I picked up a few words...) So he showed me online and sure enough, it's "All of a sudden." So when I can't remember which one it is, I pick the one that sounds wrong and use that one. His name was Darren, he lives in London. Surely you know him? Darren in London? (Oh, you're from CA. never mind. My uncle lives in CA. Butch? Do you know Butch in CA?)
Good ol' Butch. And good ol' Darren. Yes, I know those guys! We hang out all the time, have a few Pepsi Cola sodas, sit around the fire, cook beans, eat corn, talk about....oops! All of the sudden I got a call. Be right back.
Probably Darren... he loves beans. I didn't realize they were so big in England.
Beans are real big in England. Like 10 or 12 feet. Ask Ewbie.
One bean could feed a family for a year. I wonder if that is why Mr. Bean is so popular.

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

Hi ya'll. I'm a newbie and am wondering what hub scores ranging from 47 to 56 mean? What is a "good" hub score and how does that impact things? Thanks so much!!!

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

For a good number of weeks my hubber score has hovered around the 100 mark. Two days ago it started falling, and as I write this, it is down to 89! If this keeps up, it will be 0 in a week! No rhyme or reason to it, but it leaves me wondering why this is happening. I know...

We've been telling each other for years that our Hubber scores are not important. We were wrong. From HubPages Weekly:"""Congrats, Your Article Is Featured! Now, Here’s How To Keep It That Way...So, your article needs to have some search traffic to stay Featured. The amount of...

My Hubber Score has been very stable in the mid 90's (94 to 96) for at least a year. In the last few days since I published a new hub it has been dropping, and it is now down to 90. Also in the week since I published my new hub, I've been more active on HP with respect to getting comments and...
