    Bill Ayers and wife .

These are some of the people who have TAUGHT THE TEACHERS ,  these are just a couple of the people responsible for the  socialist indoctrination  of your children  and grandchildren today .   Why ?, because these are the kinds of teachers , and professors , who teach  and taught the teachers of the eighties , nineties ,  and two thousands right up to and including now ,  how to be little jack booted  socialist  followers  .  These are the kinds of people who are responsible , not only for the rise of Obama , but the continuing  rise in popularity of the socialist agenda pushed by Sen. Sanders , running for president today . Have you been wondering where the utopian fascination and  the liberal revolutionary  romance from the " sixties "anti- rebellions came from ?    Where all of the anti-establishment culture of youth today have gained the idea that repeating the sixties is the way to bring about "change " today ?

I do not  dislike these people  specifically .   Only that the indoctrination  of unformed minds of our young and youth continues  today and  only that our young have locked into socialist ideologies of these teachings , and believe  people like Sanders to be the saviors of  America and it's future  .

    What say you ?

I must say, you have a vivid imagination.  I received my college degree in the 80s at what is considered to be a "liberal" university and did not know a single jackbooted socialist.  Not one.  I have a wide group of friends and acquaintances with graduate degrees, not one of which is a jackbooted socialist.  Now, of course, this is merely anecdotal evidence.  I'm sure you have some data to support your belief that this widespread indoctrination has occurred or is occurring?  I would love to see it.  You know, something that shows that students enter college as capitalists and leave as socialists.  Would love to see that supporting evidence.  Until then, I cannot embrace your sweeping assertions as fact.  Oh, wait, I think I learned that in college.

Like the Emperors New Clothes, socialist jackboots are invisible.  Only by the results of those boots, notably the Robin Hood Syndrome, can we recognize that they are there.

Occasionally the witchery is canceled out, such as when the "1%" is mentioned, but for the most part it is hidden behind "THE CHILDREN WILL DIE" laments.

With such a narrow-minded view on social issues, and perhaps also a narrow-minded bias towards right-wing politics, is it not surprising that one would conjure up such a crowd of followers?

The old "Red Under The Bed" syndrome of the McCarthy era should be long dead - IF some good old-fashioned common sense was applied.   The conservative, right-wing, pseudo-christian selfishness and greed is trying to gain prominence across the world right now, not just in the United States.  Maybe it has its roots in our animal prehistory, bringing instinctive behaviour into play - irrational fears, striking out against the unknown, the unusual, the different... I don't know.  Strange times, strange happenings.

      I say BS!

You can go to Texas and watch the illiterate Taxicab drivers produce material for civic and history textbooks. With a dirty rightwing twist to what actually happened and disdain for  history as provided by years of study by scholars. We all know that rightwingers are anti-intellectual at their core.

Discredit the role that slavery had as a cause of the Civil War

Saying that the country was founded by those that today would be considered conservative Christians.

You like to bring up Texas so I found the controversy.

On November 7, 2007, Christine Comer resigned as the director of the science curriculum after more than nine years. Comer said that her resignation was a result of pressure from officials who claimed that she had given the appearance of criticizing the teaching of intelligent design.
In 2009, the Board received criticism from more than fifty scientific organizations over an attempt to weaken science standards on evolution.

In 2010, a group of historians, including Jean A. Stuntz of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, signed a petition to oppose the revisions in the social studies curricula approved by the state Board, changes which require the inclusion of conservative topics in public school instruction. For instance, Jefferson's name must be restored to a list of Enlightenment thinkers. There must be emphasis on the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States in regard to property rights. Students must be taught that new documents, the Venona project, verify U.S. Senator Joseph R. McCarthy's suspicions of communist infiltration of the U.S. government during the post-World War II era. Stuntz told the Amarillo Globe-News that the SBOE is "micromanaging. They don't know what they're doing."

In October 2012, The Revisionaries, a documentary film about the re-election of the chairman of the Texas Board of Education Don McLeroy and the curriculum controversy was released. In late January 2013, PBS's Independent Lens aired an abridged version the film.

Texas House Speaker Joe Straus of San Antonio said that the government should "take a look" at the structure of the Board and consider a nonpartisan or appointed board if the elected members are "not getting their job done and they're not pleasing the Legislature or the citizens, then we ought to take a thorough look at what they are doing." In 2010, it was said to be "drafting its own version of American history", including altering school textbooks to remove what it said was a "left leaning bias" and making changes that are said to have "religious and racial overtones".

For example, the proposed curriculum would downplay Thomas Jefferson's emphasis on the separation of church and state (outlined in his Letter to Danbury Baptists), and would include a greater emphasis on the importance of religion to the founding fathers. Other changes include downplaying Abraham Lincoln's role in the civil war and putting more emphasis on the Confederate leader Jefferson Davis, questioning the Civil Rights Movement in addition to downplaying Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, removing such instances and points of history such as downplaying slavery, putting more emphasis on the states rights cause during the Civil War. Critics of the proposed changes believe that such a focus on the religious elements of the founding period could cause teachers to omit lessons on history more pertinent to national standards. Proponents of the new changes argue that the religious elements are often downplayed to the point of obscurity due to the left-leaning nature of public education.[citation needed]
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Education_Agency

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that because it would be more inline with what I learned in my school years.  It was a mistake to allow the government to take over public schools and college curriculum in my honest opinion.  That is when I decided it was best to homeschool my kids. A lot has been changed since then and kids are being dumbed-down. Common core has to go!

The USA education ranking in the world keeps going down hill.

          A most thoughtful reply,

I don't want the government to take over public schools, but municipal governments, ie, 'Denver Public Schools' have something to do with the operations of the schools. I certainly want professionals with credentials in the reference field of study involved. You can home school your kids and inculcate them with your values that might not be appropriate for a general public school audience. America is not a theocracy, that was the intent of the founding fathers and the intepretation of historians. While states rights played a role, the Civil War might have never started were it not for the issue of slavery. Every high school history student knows that.

There always need to be balance, because social science is not a hard science, but the complaints from the Right takes it to unacceptable extremes, but do they not always?

By the way, concerning the term "indoctrination," do you ever consider that when children are taught aspects of christianity and its connection with "right wing" politics, that this amounts to nothing less than indoctrination?

The entire premise, in America ,   of "right wing " is that that of conservatism ,  meaning smaller , less control ,  unrestricted lifestyles , And If the meaning of right wing is less government then that same meaning holds the entire definition of Liberty itself .

Everything else intends  less freedom and more restrictive society ,  government and existence !

The right wing  stays out of everyone else's life !

Sorry, I don't believe you are telling the truth....please prove me wrong.

The "Right Wing" does not stay out of everyone's life.  Especially if that Right Wing stands on its religious soap box and judges people on account of their desire to live in partnership with a person of their own gender.

There is no greater push for conformity and control of others' lives than with a bible in hand.

".... meaning smaller , less control ,  unrestricted lifestyles...?"   I don't think so.

I think that the media is the greatest tool to control people by the ruling class.  Many people worship their TV sets and can't live without them. I haven't watched TV for close to 3 years, but I would imagine that entertainment has taken the dark-side to a new level?  -  Left!

It depends on what a person allows to get inside though. There are great shows too.

Evil is good, good is evil.

Religion is a tool that the ruling class uses to control societies based on works under the law, instead of grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  -  Right!

It depends on if a person allows Christ in their heart, or not.  There are Christ centered churches, then they are religious churches.

Divide and conquer.  vs  United we stand.

You so often revert to your personal beliefs when you wish to wriggle out of responsibility.
Yet, when you want to push a politically  biased point of view you will happily side with right-wing propaganda.
You are free to follow your personal beliefs but to use them in such a controlling manner negates their authenticity in my opinion.

Since you aren't everywhere, at every moment, one can assume that it is through the media that you get your information. It sounds to me, from reading your posts, that you are no different from anyone else; you are led by the media in the direction you feel most comfortable going.

Will all of your constant Bible quotes and comments about religion it appears to me that you are attempting to use religion as a tool. Claiming to have 'allowed Christ in one's heart' is basically a way of claiming that one person's Bible quotes supercede another's understanding of the same book. It is a claim which cannot be proven and is simply a tool used to attempt to gain control. It is exactly what Johnny was commenting on.

It is difficult to indoctrinate a child if parents relinquish their rights as the primary people who interact with their children. If they do not teach their children to think for themselves others will be more than willing to step in and think for them.

If you have a problem, it may be you only have yourself to blame.

I'm not sure it is difficult to indoctrinate a child.  But, you certainly are on the right track otherwise, I do think.

Haven't you heard? Sustainability is evil because it might delay or prevent destruction of the earth. Christians look forward to the end times, the Rapture, or whatever imaginary ecstasy they believe will be bestowed upon them due to their moral superiority.

Oh my, isn't that similar to the Muslims and their reward of seven virgins?

Yes. You'd think 2000 years later the majority might have gotten clued in that someone misunderstood something there. Or, in the case of the Muslims, what? 1800 years later?

          It's quite sad. Really.

The sustainability agenda is a UN agenda for the NWO. You could do some research before you reply to my posts so it looks like you have knowledge of a topic, (instead of snark and knee-jerk reactions), or not.  I actually think you are a smart person, but my oh my...and the beat goes on.   You just might like the UN's sustainability living agenda instead of the American Dream!  I do not believe it is a smart choice, hardly the best choice.

Mind you I can live off the grid and grow my own food which is 'sustainability living', but that is NOT the UN's agenda for control. Oh yeah, they package it up with nice sounding words, but they mean something other than what we know it to mean.  Hint: its not in our best interest.

        A suggestion:
Your last reply to a post of mine is so far out there, I'm just oh, wow!
Hosea 4:6 ... people reject knowledge, so God rejects them.  sad

Those are good questions, John.  The UN is run by Globalists (I have read their White Papers).  I have no idea who pushes Christian dogma in politics...but Ted Cruz was trying, he is a religious nut who thought he was the anionted one to be president. Yikes, scary the way he deceives and lies. But, he is against allowing males in privet areas designated for females!

In the USA its the secretive Bilderburg Group that meets behind closed doors pulling the strings, they are meeting this week in Germany. I would guess its Kissinger, who's ring corrupt politicians kiss in the states, Soros, bankers, corrupt political leaders, ABC's chief Engel, and big corporations. Hillary is obviously their chosen candidate or she would have been indicted two years ago, so they will be scheming to defeat Trump. They published there agenda list, and who is attending in 2016. Merkel will be there although her name is omitted from the list, which is common for them to do for politically sensitive reasons.

The weather has been something else lately all over the globe from what I have heard. Glad to see you survived that one.  It is good to be prepared for any kind of storm or disaster.  Obama recently encouraged everyone to be prepared, he didn't hint as to what we should be prepared for, but I hope everyone heeds that warning.  For some reason I felt he was being earnest with all the earthquakes and volcanoes erupting across the globe, and with the tensions mounting throughout the world anything could happen. Take care!

For once I can agree with you, Susie, concerning the "ring" of corruption.  But I can't prove it, nor can most people prove it.

The sad thing is we all suspect corruption, and make the assumption that we can't believe them.  We have stopped trusting people, even ourselves.  There is a general distrust of men:  they are all monsters, after our children!  Ministers of religion, especially of the Roman church, are sexual deviates: all of 'em, so don't trust 'em.   Big business is all corrupt, so avoid all products from big companies.   And so it goes on.  We don't seem able to sift out the "chiff from the chaff" these days.

As a result, our entire population, world-wide, is feeling that deep sense of insecurity and we feel so helpless.  We poison the atmosphere with distrust.  We fight against and amongst ourselves.

Yet funnily enough, 24 hours of power outage, with very heavy rain and wind, has made us gather together and start thinking as a community.   I hope this continues beyond abatement of the storm.  It can do us good and help to build resilience and strength through common threat and need.
