I have fulfilled all the recommended requirements and still rank at a 68/100 so it keeps getting unpublished
my Hub 'How to Thrive in College' is very in depth with a poll, images and everything they ask for and I cannot get it to pass.
I think your problem is that you're misunderstanding what HubPages is. Which is not your fault, as there's a fair bit of false advertising out there, but you won't do well until you understand what you need to do!
HubPages is not a blogging site. It's a place where you write long, magazine-quality articles. Each one should be about 800 to 1500 words long. Each one is a standalone article providing information that's useful to readers (there are also sections for poetry and fiction if you like writing those, but they don't usually do very well). HubPages doesn't want pieces that are purely personal - although if you can share an experience that's helpful to others going through the same thing, then that's great and perfectly acceptable.
If you want to write short posts about random subjects, then you'd be better off on another site, take a look at DailyTwoCents for instance.
If you want us to look at the hub they rejected, then post the link they gave you in the email
http://hubpages.com/education/How-to-Thrive-in-College This is may main one I wrote. I also had http://hubpages.com/family/First-time-p … ather-of-7 Both of which were long. Any revision advice would be appreciated
I love the first time parent one!
Both look good. I'm guessing the college one failed because it has a link to Linkedin.com. Apparently links to social network sites aren't allowed (I only know that because someone got failed for having a Facebook link recently). Just remove the hyperlink and see what happens.
The parenting one may be because of the subject. HubPages' whole income model relies on Adsense. If the site loses its Adsense account it would go broke very quickly. Other sites have had their Adsense account suspended because a member did something that violated the Adsense guidelines - luckily they were able to get it reinstated, but you can understand that HubPages is anxious the same thing doesn't happen here. So they're obsessively vigilant about applying the rules. Adsense doesn't allow rude words or rude images. Usually that means you can't have pictures of nudes or swear etc, but someone did once get a Hub rejected for using the word "butt" (they were talking about a water butt . . .). So it 's just possible the subject matter is an issue?
By the way, there's a problem with the photos you're using too. I wrote a Hub about how to use photos legally, you'll find it on the slider on my profile. It explains how to find photos legally and how to attribute them.
Thank you, I will keep working on the image aspect, and see if that is what it is. I removed the LinkedIn hyperlink and altered some of the verbage. These are my two main starting hubs that I feel good about the content so now its just tweaking until they pass, learning along the way.
Both of those are good examples of the type of thing HubPages is looking for, so I think you're on the right track!
If you're here for the community, then a good way to get going is to look for Hubbers whose work you enjoy, read some of their Hubs and leave meaningful comments on them (i.e. not just comments like "good Hub"). You'll find they will return the favour.

Being new I'm not sure I totally understand the way to generate income here in HP. Am I to understand that one must have an Adsense account to earn income? I've applied for an Adsense account some time ago but have not heard anything from them. Does this mean no matter how good my hubs are and how...

Just after being moved from Squidoo, I tried to apply for an AdSense account, which failed for this reason:"Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be...

I'm getting tired of seeing that I've earned a little money (okay, very little money) every month, being told that I do have an Adsense account AND my Hubpages posts are linked to Paypal, yet I don't get any deposits.I thought for sure I'd find an answer to this issue in the forums, but I haven't...

On browsing the forum, I have become aware that we can't earn on HubPages without AdSense. This is a grim realization for me.I have 29 featured hubs that are generally considered to be of reasonable quality. I applied for an AdSense account over a year ago, and since then I've had nothing. When I...

Just for a bit of background - I have been writing online for years, and literally have millions of words "out there". Only once did I have an AdSense account, and if I remember correctly, it was for a blog that is rarely used. It still appears, if I right-click on the blog, and view the...
