I have been editing almost all of my hubs this month and have been making my photos full width. When I have several photos in one capsule, I have been making them into thumbnails so that there will not be too many photos to scroll through for mobile viewers.
I have also been making most of my videos into half-width since I was told that full width videos load slower. Does anyone have information on this? Am I doing the right thing?
I guess, The length of Video should not effect HP page load time because that's a referral link from Google Cloud store. Not the direct link.
Another reason, When we ope HP article video buffering don't start automatically. When someone will click on video then only streaming and buffering will come in picture.
But no. of videos can effect, i think that's also negligible, until its not many videos on same page (At least 5+ on same page).
I can't think of any reason why a video should not be full screen. Google's cloud delivers YouTube vids. Plenty of power there.
I'm with Will - the video is embedded, not actually loaded on the page, so the width is irrelevant.
Yup embedded and shouldn't make a difference to load time. Full width videos are better in my opinion.
Thanks to all of you. I have stopped making my videos half width, since it does not speed up page load time. I think a full width video gives a lot better viewing experience anyway.

In looking over my edited hubs, I find many inconsistencies. Some hubs will be changed so that all large photos are seen (for mobile viewers?), others will be changed into thumbnails, others not changed at all. Some photos are moved above the text capsule, others below. What does HP now consider to...

Apologies in advance for asking a question I should know the answer to, but I just can't keep track anymore, and the search function is not yielding any helpful results. When writing new hubs or updating old ones, is it now recommended to place photos and videos so they take up the full width of the...

The biggest issue I have with all capsules having to be full width is that there now seems to be no provision for sidebar content. I've had to eliminate several sidebar text capsules because although they have supplementary information that would be useful for the reader, they just can't be fitted...

Is it possible to load two separate videos in a video hub without using video capsules?

I had a conversation with a new online writer and I realized what I recommended is a bit more specific than I used to be based on what I've seen be successful. I'm in the middle of refreshing several Hubs (150 to go), but here is what I tell others and am trying to do myself.- write on...

My next article will have several videos, including two that over 180 MB. Will this significantly slow down the page-load, or does it matter since videos on HP are embedded and not uploaded? Thanks.
