Do you think my article will pass the Quality Assessment Process?

   I'm currently going through the challenge of getting my first article approved by the Quality Assessment. It was rejected yesterday and deemed by the moderator as "needing improvement", and now that I finished improving it in hopes of it getting finally approved, I would like some feedback and whether you think it will pass the QAP. If not, please state the reasons why and tell me what I can do to improve it further. Any feedback is dearly appreciated.       I enjoyed reading your article but your writing is not easy to digest. For example, the following is one sentence:
      
      The Hutton-Mdivani Jadeite necklace, once owned by the Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, sold for more than $27.4 million at Sotheby’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite Auction in April 7th, 2014, where it set the auction record for a jadeite jewel and for a Cartier jewel.
      
      This comes across as a series of sentences that have been copied and pasted together. When I searched for the above, it took me to the Forbes website. Your wording is rather similar to that article - see below. There is nothing wrong with research, but you must use your own words. Also, don't forget to credit your sources.

      Also, your poll at the end, asking if people liked your article, is somewhat unimaginative. Why not ask people about the price of the most expensive piece of jewellery that they own? As one of the answers, you could even include something like: "Priceless - It has sentimental value."

         I have found a hub with the same subject as mine, and it did copy-paste context from other websites as well. The information was even less accurate than mine. In such topic where I need sources of information, it is inevitable to copy and paste from wikipedia or some source. Though I did try to rewrite the information in a slighlty distinct way, I do not know what to do further than that as it's all the same information. As for the poll, you beat me on this one! This has been a tough challenge and I'm so used to receiving the rejection email over and over again. I'm considering quitting.

   Maybe remove some photos. You don't need pics AND a video. One per capsule is fine. Also be careful about capitalising words that shouldn't be capitalised.

         Thank you for your suggestion. I have edited the capitalization error. It's true that I don't need a photo and a video for each capsule, but I just thought it would be enriching to the article. I don't think it could cause my article to get outright rejected. I am glad there isn't much else! I hope it gets approved!

   I disagree with poppyr, the visuals really help an article such as this. However, they are not credited as to source and it's not clear if they are Creative Commons and free of copyright restrictions. I suspect not, which could lead to a whole heap of hurt.

   In answer to your question, no, I don't think your article will be approved as it stands right now. As Rupert says, the fact that the source of the photos isn't stated is a concern. I think that an even more serious concern is that at least some of the text is on other sites. The Graff Pink section comes from Wikipedia, for example. HubPages wants us to create original articles, so I think you would need to make major changes to your article to get it approved. You've chosen an interesting idea for a hub, though.

I did try to rewrite the information in a slighlty distinct way like I should, I do not know what to do any further than that as it's still gonna be the same information. I don't think it's very wrong to copy from wikipedia if you look at it as in we're gathering information in one article for people to read, isn't that where we are all expected to get our resources? do you mean I should try to write something personal rather than infographic? I seriously doubt I'll ever get through this QAP thing..

         Nadira, you cannot republish other people's work from any site, including Wikipedia. Your hub will be flagged for plagiarism. Not only that, you could be subject to a DMCA takedown.
         
         Instead, write about subjects that you are an expert on. Or issues that you have experienced. Or people who have made an impression on you. Or books you have read. Or recipes. Or crafts.
         
         If you find another hub that has been copied, then report it, using the flag on the left-hand side of the hub. Include the URL where you think it was copied from. Bear in mind that hubs can also be copied, and often are, by other unscrupulous folk.
