15 Seems like a good number , but my hubs are kinda lame so It doesnt matter ! As long as the tags are relevant to the hub .

I use about 15 but then towards the end of the hub i may add a couple of the suggested ones that crop up.

The more tags you add the more views you may receive, in my opinion. However, I have found there seems to be a limit and after you publish one and if you have too many.. you may receive a message asking you to delete a few.. that has been my experience so far.. good luck.

      How long are your hubs?

Depends on the hub-- and on the length of the hub, I think.

If you have a 500 word hub with 25 tags-- I'd think that's a bit much.

when you see obvious spam just hit the rport button in the corner--you don't want to quote them or their links

The most sensible approach somebody posted here was: put as many as you can, until it starts telling you you have too much. Then back down a couple, to clear the warning smile

I agree Misha. As many as possible is best.

I tried to do that. Initially the hubscore went up and then it started going down. It also affected the author score. Now I am thinking to experiment by deleting all tags on a couple of useful hubs and use ONLY some High Paying Tags on those topics and see if helps to increase the income. Your thoughts....

I read a similar post the Misha made about putting in as many tags as you can. I've done that and have received loads more traffic from search engines - so thank you Misha! smile

Hey you are welcome, yet I can't take a credit for the idea of pushing the limit and backing off. It was somebody else's, and I don't remember whose exactly unfortunately...

Hello my fellow hubbers! I wanna ask something about tags, what is the exactly the minimal tags that can we post in our hubs?

ryankettposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Why would you want to use the minimal amount of tags? The less tags the less search engine traffic. The minimum you can use is probably 0.

You have to have at least 3 or 4 In order for your hub to be published , but put on as many as you can to get the most exposure

There is no magic number, but here is my take on the use of tags on Hubs and how they help you rank in Google et. al.
