Just like the topic question states please.
What is your honest opinion between the teachings of Jesus and the religions created and or concocted by men and women?
If people who say they follow His teaching would simply do them, would you think this is good?
Do you think He was a prophet, teacher, Savior, God, or all 4?
Do you think He was God manifested in the form of mankind?
Do you think what He taught were good teachings?
Do you personally accept and try to live by any of His teachings?
If so, please state which ones and why you do them? If you can reference what you follow, great.
Maybe you worship Him and believe them all?
How about The Proverbs, any of them you follow?
And The Psalms, do you like them too?
Do you despise His teachings? If so, then why?
Which ones do you personally hate?
Do you hate religion, but could accept what Jesus taught without all the religion and circus show.
Nothing personal here, just between you and Him.
It seems that the term "religion" and Jesus get lumped together these days and people judge Jesus by the way other people act in His name and I wonder if someone acted on your behalf (like your kids or a friend) in a way you hated, can people judge you because of them? Is that fair to you?
Like if you owned a company and an employee acted in a manner that was NOT what you found acceptable, would you want the company to be judged based on that person or clarify that your company does NOT act that way and discipline or dismiss said employee?
Please, if you say something like this:
I like that Jesus said "God helps those that help themselves"
I would ask that you find it and put the reference here, just so people know where to find it.
And if you do find it, you will be the first.
I will NOT, repeat...will NOT try and correct anything you say, I might ask a question though.
I think he was none of the above. a budhisim preacher, maybe.
Not God manifested.
Some of the teachings are good. Some 2 extreme.
I don't believe in him
Some Proverbs are witty, some are stupid
Some Psalms are really beautiful.
I don't despise his teachings. I simply don't care.
I don't hate religions. Every one is free to believe what they want. But us, people who don't believe, are in no way sinners, and we're not going to hell. Maybe fanatic religious people are going 2 hell, 4 their lack of Mercy !
Matthew 7:21-23
21Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.
22Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
23And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly, disregarding My commands.
Matthew 25:41
41Then He will say to those at His left hand, Begone from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels!
Yes, that is what happens to those who claim to know him and really do NOT as they create religions that are evil.
"Some of the teachings are good. Some 2 extreme."
So if some of them are good to you, which ones are they and do you find yourself doing them Tantrum?
You know darn well I don't 'do' them. I gave you my view, cause I thought u were being sensible. But as i c, u'r still talking babble and Bible quotes and stuff. Don't you have an opinion yourself? I'm really fed up. I can't stand u anymore. It's 2 boring. I hate bible quotes. They make me doze...zzzzz I'm off ! Bye !
Oh I am sorry, I just saw that you said they were good and thought you enjoy doing what is good.
If you do not, then OK, do not do them then.
And the quotes from the Bible actually agreed with your take from the last line of your post.
Have a nice day.
“Give strong drink to the one who is perishing, and wine to those in bitter distress; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more” (Prov. 31:6-7; ESV).
I love that scripture. Now I am going to go pass out those bottles of wine I bought for all the homeless people that live in my city and to the people dying of cancer in the hospital. I does my heart good to do the lord's work.
You've asked about 14 questions in one Post. I'll just answer two for now.
Proverbs - I love the Book of proverbs, its a book of Wisdom.
Psalms - Reading Psalms is very encouraging to me when I'm going through tough times.
I love them both also and read them as much as I can. I find them frank, open, honest, full of wisdom and understanding and insights. They are a great source of encouragement for me and have been for 30 years.
Thanks for stopping by dear lady.
i find his teachings hard to do and comprehend at times. i have not found any fault with them though. i cannot see where he did any evil. something i cannot say about any other man.
like Pilate said to the rulers that wanted to murder him "i find no fault with him" and Pilate was very cruel too.

If you cant prove that the Bible is false, how can you call it lies. That is irrational, for to call someone a liar you must have proof to the contrary to what they are saying. Anything else is personal opinion and mere speculation.

After reading through the religion forum, I see a lot of different views, but I also see some that are very much the same. What I am curious about is this ... are we all mostly different, or are we preaching the same message from different mouths?Only one way to find out ...I just want to know the...
