The code modules are wonderful. Here are a few suggestions:
Some of the formatting options (VB, C++, etc.) don't handle some comment delimiters properly. If an apostrophe is detected, the line of code is broken at the apostrophe and several blank lines are inserted. It disrupts the flow of the code.
A horizontal scroll bar is needed at the top of the module. Currently there's one at the bottom, but the user wouldn't know it's available without scrolling down to the bottom of the module. If the module is long enough, the scroll bar isn't useful at all because the user would have to scroll vertically, scroll horizontally, then scroll vertically back up again. Too much navigating.
Hi Kadmiels, Nicomp,
Thanks very much for the feedback. I'll add this to my queue.
I'll post here when it's been fixed.

cool! One more question...
In the Hub Metrics, does the word count reflect the contents of the Code Module or not?
I think I answered it myself. The answer appears to be 'no'. This seems extremely unfair to me. My code has relevance to the hub. it also contains tons of comments. A programmer learns from the code module; it's not there just to make the hub seem longer.
Can we talk about this?
Hi Nicomp,
The Hub Metrics count is for information purposely only. It is meant to help authors who are trying to write a hub of a certain number of words.
As far as I can tell, there's no reason for including the code capsule as part of the word count.
I agree with you that there is high value in well written code but I'm unclear on the problem that you are seeing by not including code capsule in the word count.
Thanks,
-Larry
Hi Larry,
I assumed that the word count had some impact on bub score calculations or on how Google indexed the hub. My bad!
Bill
Hi Nicomp,
I have not had a chance to get to it. I am working on a new feature now that will hopefully be released next week.
I have it high on my queue so I should be able to start work on Monday. I'll post on this thread when I have found a fix.

Hi Nicomp,
I've fixed the code capsule comment issue. The fix will go out with the next update to the web site.
As far as a horizontal scrollbar at the top, that would not be standard css so I will not be adding that requested feature.
Please let me know if you find any more bugs or have any more suggestions for improving the code capsule.
Cheers,
-Larry

Awhile back we were advised to remove all ads except for two or HP would come by later and do it for us. I dutifully removed all of my "extras", but am now continually seeing articles, some of them fairly new, with many, many ads. When I place ads on my hubs, I am...

I am a fan of both HP and Squidoo and there are two things where Squidoo score over HP big time.Comments: Leave a comment is so yesterday. Squidoo comment module can be used in a variety of ways. I would love to see a comment module that doesn't look like one. In fact it should be such that it...

So I don't want to spread any panic or alarm (or paranoia) but.......I have been clicking on my Amazon modules on my hubs and I don't see any clicks in Amazon!First of all, as far as I can tell, you don't get punished by clicking on your Amazon ads. If somebody knows (and I mean really...

For longer hubs, it would be good to have a module which we could place near the top of our hubs and list the different topics covered in the hub. These would be links that when clicked would carry the viewer to that specific section of the Hub. When the hub author selected the module and opened it...

Which one is better, a text module with embedded links or a link module? Link module doesn't seem to have an option to have the linked page open on a new window. Or I'm just missing something?

I have a hub that has been unpublished for being over promotional. Can someone help me with this? The hub is 800 words. It has 2 ebay modules and 4 Amazon modules, and one suggested link to an Amazon page I made. It's not even an active link. How are we supposed to make money if we can't even...
