What's the difference between the big home video games...Wii, XBox, Playstation?

    Is one better than rest?

They each have their upsides, the Wii is physically interactive.  It has motion detectors that simulate placing you inside the game.

Xbox 360 is graphic based and provides visual stimulation unlike any other system I have tried.

The PS3 is very similar to the Xbox 360 only it has an upgraded feature, the build in Blue Ray dvd player.

I have the Wii and the 360 here in my home and the entire family loves the Wii where the boys mainly love the 360.  They can't get enough of Call of Duty (a war game) that they play agains live players from all parts of the country.

Thanks Richard. So I guess the Wii is better for younger kids?

Wii is great for the whole family.  My 60 yo mother who has had 2 knee replacement surgeries is hooked on the bowling game and she's a riot watching her try the virtual hula hoop.  I like the bowling too and the Wii Fit.

On the 360, I'm a pro at Madden 2009.  At least in my home I am..lol

I like my Wii. Wii Fit is fun, Raving Rabbids is great. I like Video Games with mini games in them.

Games on Xbox and Playstation are usually too hard for me. I get lost in the open-go-anywhere-type games.

My favorite game ever was Boulderdash on the Atari.

Personaly I not go for the stand alone Games, My favorite game would have to Be World of War Craft its solcly interactive real time fun which is always changeing and evoling I have never played a game quite like it.I also like it because with Million of players from around the world you get o meet and learn about so many things while playing.

We have a Wii and a PS3.  I've never played XBox.  I prefer the Playstation.  The kids enjoy the Wii.  My favorite game is Simpson's racing.  I know, very immature.  But the Guitar Hero is a blast, too!!!!

All my fellas always come over to my house, and we compete on PS3 playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. I always win, too. Lol.

Wii - Fun for the whole family and keeps the kids busy. Mostly geared towards casual gamers. (Why oh why Muramasa is being released for the Wii only is just beyond me...)

PS3 and Xbox 360 - Aimed at the more hardcore gamers. PS3's more powerful specs-wise if I'm not mistaken, plus it uses BluRay (more disc capacity etc). Some games are only available on one but not the other, though more and more are becoming multi-platform. Just get both if you want it all, haha!

The two games that still scare me are Altered Beast(Rise from your grave) and Eternal Champions. Thank goodness for GameTap.

Can't really add much to the above aside from the fact that Microsoft are brining Project Natal to the XBOX 360 next year - no need for a controller, just use your body!

Could be a 'game' changer...the implications for the console are amazing, let alone for the living room, the PC etc.

I'm done with consoles, I prefer PC games nowadays. Currently I'm playing Dawn of War (Warhammer 40k).

I have to say any game on the console is the same game on pc but a dubbed down version of it. I'm not sure about you guys and gals but first person shooter is 500 times easier on a pc then it is on an console would you agree? Plus is the console not just a mini computer anymore really? Hard drive video card...
PC games are mostly what I play but there are a few unique games on consoles that I like on there rather then pc so gotta have them both still wink

I like the Tekken series but not everyone is partial to fighting games. I also like Silent Hill because it scares the bejesus out of everyone and has a good plot.

Diablo 3...it's not out yet and I don't what game consoles it will be on other than the PC...but I don't care. It will be epic like D2. It doesn't need to be even out to be the best. xD
