If I had to choose my favorite of all time, weighing in classics, new graphics and what not, I would choose Super Mario World. I love the classics and I love Mario.

I would say it is my favorite because of the fluidness that is Mario, the multiplayer and the charm of Mario in general.

My favorite game of all time would probably have to be Halo 2.  Its multiplayer offerings really made Xbox Live what it is today.  Skill based matchmaking, party system, etc.  Many fond memories of playing that game with friends and family.

I agree. Halo 2 made Xbox Live. I would go so far as to say it made the Xbox / Xbox 360 what it is today.

This is very hard! I would have to say my favorite game of all time would have to be Animal Crossing! It's hilarious and addicting!

I don't know if I'd ever pick Animal Crossing as my favorite... for the same reason as I wouldn't pick Harvest Moon, but I have spent countless hours in both. Great games.

It was definitely a hard choice. Tetris or Dragon Quest are up there too.

My Favorite is Black Ops 2 - particularly the zombie mode. There is a lot of strategy involved and it never seems to get stale.  The new Die Rise map makes it possible to play a thousand different ways, and your game experience changes depending on who you play with.

The first Zelda game on the SNES has to be on the list. Even now it holds up.

My favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy VII. Its hard for me to pin down exactly why. I loved the story, the characters, the game play, just about everything. Sure the graphics look like garbage by today's standards, but its the story and the game play that keeps it good, not graphics. Its also the game that inspired me to start writing. I played it, experienced the story and said to myself "I want to write stuff like that." so I did. ^_^.

Hard to pick just one but if I was forced to. The one I have had the most 'fun' with was probably Devil May Cry 3. Loved the gameplay, the replayability, cutscenes and Joker was handsdown one of the best gaming characters.

Runner up - Nier...just emotionally so engaging

I think I might have to say the Elder Scrolls games are my favorite... I played Morrowind on XBOX, then Oblivion on XBOX360.  I spent DAYS playing Oblivion (before I had kids LOL).  Now I'm playing Skyrim and love it.  I also really love Madden, I play with my boyfriend and it taught me everything I know about football...

Ratchet and clank: Going commando. There was always so much for me to do and explore in that game. Especially the insomniac museum. That experience was my first time seeing anything game related outside of the things on the discs. I caught a glimpse of what could have been, and was kindly guided by the developers to the reason why it wasn't. That also sparked my desire to make, play, and analyze games.

Persona 4 Golden. I've played it all the way through 3 times, working on a 4th, and I've dumped 197 hours into it.

Still not even close to being sick of it.

The Persona series really is fantastic. Tons of replay and genuine choices that have real impact. The anime is pretty good too if you're yet to check it out.

I haven't yet seen Trinity Soul, but P4A was pretty disappointing for me. They really, really rushed it.

Favorite video game?  Anything Mario of course!  (well, almost anything - maybe I should say, anything based on the Classic Mario games, not sports or racing or brawl)

My favorite game of all time is the classic Chrono Trigger.  This was the first RPG I ever played and beat, making it untouchable in my mind.  Picking a single favorite game of all time is so very hard to do!  I too, like Willsummerdreamer love the FF series, (VII being my favorite as well...my daughter's middle name is Aeris) as well as the Mario series and Zelda.  As for more recent additions, I'm a huge Double Fine fan (The Cave, Costume Quest) as well as Pixel Junk Monsters, Flower and Journey.  Also had a blast with Trine 1 and 2 and Infamous.  If we're talking PC gaming, LOTRO leads the torch for MMO, followed by City of Heroes.  There are just too many genres to choose just one!  Ultimately though, I stand by my first choice...Chrono Trigger beats them all in this gamer's mind.

If we go back a few decades, my favorite arcade game was Mr. Do. or Mr. Do's Coaster.

As for home video games, I like Tetris, tetris Attack, and Super Mario World.

But in the last 15 years or so, I have been into building games, where you can create a city. I have had several different versions of Sim City, along with Sim Tower. Where you build a sky scraper.
I have also played the Sims, and have Sims 3.

But, my all time favorite is Roller Coaster Tycoon. I had Roller Tycoon2 but can't find my disk. I also have Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, but, my favorite is tycoon2. If you don't know, it is a game where you build an amusement park from the ground up. You design the park, build the roller coasters and computer generated guests show up to ride them.

One of my parks has 32 rollercoasters, all designed by me with the games coaster designer. My park has over 6,700 guests in it,which is very high for the game. And, the park is currently in the black over $1,695,000. It's really cool to see your parks succeed. But, it takes a while to play the game to make money. When I first started my parks were closed because they didn't meet their quota. But, there are some features of the game that make it almost impossible to get ahead.

Like guests that won't leave, won't spend their money, or get stuck in a place where you can't see them. Or they throw up in a spot you have to find, otherwise it brings your park rating down. It's a game that you can play for hours, then if you want to tear down everything in the park while it's packed, and use the money you made to build everything new.

You can also lock the guests in the park so they can leave, or build a bridge over the water, get them all on it, and remove the bridge so they all drown. Or charge $5.00 for them to use one bathroom.
