I love Hubpages, but?

   Although I verified my  web-site for ebay, they rejected it, so does this mean I will not get paid for my Hubpages...?
   I feel lost and confused at the moment, as I love my Hubpages alot...

      hi everybody who are applying for the ebay are being rejected right now, you can still earn with google adsense, and amazon, have you applied for both already, morning, Maita

         Yes, I have Amazon and Adsense, I thought Hubpages were a separate item, it was the line that said, if you want to be paid for your Hubpages you must be verified first...

   Ive read befor that ebay is refusing most everybody, you can still sign up for adsense!! and Amazon too, Im pretty sure. Theres pretty helpful info in the "guide" about setting it all up.  good luck!

   Most new hubbes are going to be rejected by EPN.  They have moved to a new model and prefer quality clicks rather than quantity.  You can still earn through Adsense if you applied to Google and you can earn through Amazon if you applied through their affiliate program. 
   
   There are other ways too to earn, by joining other affiliate markets or promoting your own products.
   
   If you are displaying ebay items on your hubs then I would remove them since you're not going to earn anything from them.
   
   Wait until you have 50 or more product review type hubs and over 10,000 page views to try again, or start your own website and build traffic to it alone and apply again using it as your source for traffic.  Either way, you'll need a lot of traffic before EPN will consider you.

      Hi thank you Richard,
      that is one of the first things I did was to remove them off my Hubpages, artistic temper got the better of me, I still have Adsense and Amazon, which I find quite cool product wise matching to my Hubs,

   Go to Ebay and read what they are looking for in affiliates. They have stated very explicitly what criteria they use to judge affiliate websites. Then take a look at your hubs, and I think you'll see why you were rejected.
   
   It's your choice whether or not you want to create hubs that will conform to the Ebay model. But if you want to make serious money online, listening to what affiliate programs want is a must if you want to be accepted into them. With Ebay it's a must if you want to be kept. They have quite a history of booting out nonperforming affiliates.

      Yeh, your right Nelle, I guess I thought they would be easy and cool like the others to join, but I am turning it to my advantage now instead of moaning, I had one day of moaning with rejection. Now I have put my own products on and added lovely Amazon stock that match my Hubs...
      I just love my Hubs so much, I kind of think ebay look tacky anyway gasp!

      I thought I would apply, and I did. they sent me a confirmation email and some steps to follow to complete the process, which involves:
      
      create a notepad file containing a unique identifier that they send you.
      
      then they ask you to place that file on your domain.
      
      that is where I got stymied, since I obviously don't own the domain HubPages.com.
      
      any advice? thank you.

         I did this too.  By following the "Step by Step Instructions" that pop up when you click "edit" next to eBay on your affiliates page, I was able to figure that part out.  (I don't remember exactly what I did now, but the directions were there.)  However, I never heard anything from that point.  No acceptance, no denial.  I have a feeling I got stuck in the grey zone between when they were accepting hubpages users, and when they were not.  Here is the memo that Hubpages has currently posted under the step by step instructions... chances look slim to none to being accepted right now...
         
         "Note: eBay has changed the terms of their affiliate program, and is not currently approving applications of people that do not operate a site on their own domain. If you have an approved ePN account you can use it on HubPages. If you do not have an ePN account, you are very unlikely to be approved by applying using your presence on HubPages. If you have a site on a domain that you own, we'd suggest applying using that site."

   Since it doesnt seem likely that many new hubbers will be accepted with hubs as their only platform, i wont dig it up myself.
   
   But the explanation how to upload the unique identifier is located in the forum from the time period the ePn change happened. You could probably dig through paul deeds posts looking for ebay in the header...actually for most admin questions, looking through paul deeeds posts will give you the proper and final word
   
   But, there is also a little "confirm domain" button in your affilaite settings that allows you to confirm domain if you are accepted or already have an ePn account

   I tried twice and I got through all the way to the end, then they rejected me. I figure amazon and adsense are enough.
