Haha, I know its not alot, but its given me insentive to push forward, i mean ive only been on adsense 2 weeks I think and Ive been pressing to write as many hubs as possible. Ive also been sifting through articles to find advice on traffic.. set up a xomba, onlywire, and twitter accounts etc..
It says page cpm 7.68 pounds, this is an estimate isnt it, it was 8.80 earlier, whats that all about lol?

That is the equivalent earnings per 1000 impressions. So if I had 100 impressions and earnt £1, then my eCPM would be £10, its just an average per 1000 impressions. So if you had 2000 impressions and earnt £10, then your eCPM would be £5.

I notice Amazon has a slightly different  way of working earnings out too, I just have to add ebay now lol

Ebay isnt accepting anybody who apply through hubpages at the moment. Yes Amazon pays very differently, 4% commission on first 6 sales, 6% on further sales etc etc....

For me it is Adsense, for others it is Amazon. If you produce focussed sales pages then you will succeed with Amazon. For me, most of my hubs are not set up to sell a product. People like Nelle Hoxie and Mark Knowles are very successful Amazon affiliates, and I would recommend checking out their hubs.

Amazon is how I make the most profit on Hubpages, however Adsense works well on my own websites.

Congratulations on your first click though, I still remember mine!

Great!!! at least someone got something. I had an idea that these never works. But its good that you have earned. It does not matter how much you earned , but you earned.  Better better luck next time.

It is pretty darned exciting when you make this first couple of cents or pence (for the uk folks here) with ad sense or amazon! When you take in the advice often given when new, to wait and just keep writing cause it takes a long time to start earning, its even more exciting because it kinda makes you think you might just be that good big_smile. Enjoy and savor this, you earned it!
