I have been on H/P for just about 11 months! I have enjoyed writing very much and do it for a living! However I am thinking revamping my H/P and going to another style. Will anyone read my work and see what you can suggest as far as another style? Should I stay with Spirituality or should I try something else?

I am always open to honest opinions however I am asking for the critic to be slammed or disrespected so if this is your intent DO NOT POST A COMMENT!!!

I appreciate my fellow hubbers that will take the time to review my work and give me feed back! I am open to recieve emails and comments on the actual hubs!!

I've read a few of your hubs and don't see any fundamental problems. Some are a little on the short side but they're still worth reading if the subject matter appeals.

Not sure what you mean by another style? Your style of writng is fine by me - but subject matter depends on your interests and whether you're writing for money (keyword selection then becomes important) or just as an outlet for your creativity.

I read your Hubs and I get the very strong feeling that you are close, just that close, but not close enough. Your nearly getting there and when you do, you stop.

For instance, your hub on intimacy as 50 approaches. You had me hook line and sinker in the first few paragraphs and then BANG, you stopped. I connected immediately and was left dangling. I need a finisher.

There is your style change, go through and milk everything you can out of the theme so people like me, are left somewhat (and pardon the pun) contented.

Do you seriously feel the need to change? If so, then do so.

If you are doing well now with what you have, why fix something when it isn't broken?

    Just a thought. smile

Your hubs are way too short, first of all. Make sure you spell-check everything. And your topics, well, I find them kind of serious and depressing. Do you have anything upbeat to talk about?

I agree many of your Hubs are on the short side. What you write about depends on what audience you're aiming for, really - they don't appeal to me but that doesn't really mean much.

While some others have made valid points I would not worry.  You obviously have a built-in, prepped audience if you have that many followers in less than a year.  Don't sweat it.
There is a minister here who write hubs.  He has almost the entire congregation going online and following him.  SO he is right up there, too.  It's not like you stick your neck out with your topics or graphics (which is a good thing if you care about your score--trust me-lol).
Perhaps you DO need to take the advice already given though and if you feel you cannot as yourself I suggest a pen-name and a more anonymous avatar.  I get paid to write articles all over the internet and often wonder if the kind of thing I sometimes do here will hurt my PAID work but so far it hasn't.  (Mind you, a lot of what I write elsewhere is anonymous.)

I haven't read all your hubs, but I need to ask you why do you need approval or feel the need to change your style.  Your style is YOUR style.  Why would you want to be like someone else.  God made you for you and not a carbon copy of someone else.

If you feel the need to "branch out" then write about other passions that you have, like I do.  I write about all kinds of things and on all kinds of subjects.  I know you have other topics that you can write about.  Give it a try and test the waters.

I agree with a lot of the people who have answered this post.

There is someone who once doubted what they should and shouldn't do with their style, and that person is CHER!

She said one of her recent conerts that I attended. She debated for years about what she should and shouldn't do with her shows, and one day she just said. I'm just going to do it, if it doesn't go over well, I guess I shouldn't have done that.

The point she had was never hold back. If you want to do something just do it. I debated about wether this site was going to be good for me, and now that i have done it, I am very happy with the results. I took Cher's advice.

With a never hold back attitude, I have accomplished a lot.
