Changing the title of my hub

   Can I change the title of my hub as I think it would be better with a different title but still including the existing words? If so, how do I change it as I don't see an option to save it?

   yes you can change the title but the URL will remain the same. Just go to the edit page and type in your new title then choose to "done editing" this will save your changed title.
   
   Keep in mind, if u change the title too much, it may not match your URL very well.

   When you want to change the title of a published or unpublished Hub, I have found it's best to save a copy of your Hub in your word processing program and then delete your original Hub. Unfortunately, you will lose any comments people have made about your published Hub. You must wait at least 24 hours for the Hub to be permanently deleted. If you attempt to begin the same Hub with a different title before the original has been removed from the Hub system, the system may identify your Hub as a plagarized duplicate. Once your original Hub disappears from the list of Hubs in your account, begin a new Hub, giving it the new title you've chosen. Your Hub will immediately be assigned a new unique URL. Copy the body of your original Hub from your word processing program and paste it into your new Hub a capsule at a time. Voila! You'll have the same Hub with a new and improved title.

   There's no reason to delete a whole Hub if you want to just edit the title.  Search engine history and comments add a lot of value to a Hub, and by erasing everything, you are starting your Hub again from scratch.
   
   It's not necessary for the URL and title to match.
   
   Just because a Hub has been deleted from the Hub system doesn't mean copies don't still exist in search engine caches and you can still be flagged as a duplicate when you try and repost it.  And if someone plagiarized your Hub and then you delete your original here, they then have the original and you'll lose the ability to use any of the content.
   
   It's much healthier for your Hub and safer for your author copyrights to just edit the title than to do as Mary suggests.

      Thank you, relache, for bringing up points I hadn't thought of. I have had trouble in the past with search engines not finding my work if I changed my titles. Doing what I usually do seems to work, but since I'm newer to HubPages, I value what you have said. I will no longer delete my Hubs but instead think more carefully about my titles before publishing my Hubs.

         Where did you experience that problem?  Changing titles shouldn't present a problem anywhere, whether it's on a blog or on HubPages (unless you're using a site where changing the title changes the URL?).
         
         If you change the URL of a blog post or Hub, it become a whole new post/article - and that's generally a bad thing.  Google likes fresh news, so you're likely to get a surge of traffic when you republish it with its new URL - but then it will drop back, usually to less than it would've been if you'd left it alone.
         
         That's because by deleting the old URL, you've lost all the links, Facebook "Likes", Tweets etc that readers (or you) may have created - and they're very valuable in Google's eyes.
         
         So, if you only just published a Hub a couple of weeks ago and decide to delete and republish - it probably doesn't matter, though you might get flagged as "duplicate".  If you published a Hub a few months ago and are contemplating deletion - don't!
         
         
         
         The important thing is to think about the URL before you publish.  HubPages will auto-create the URL from your title as you type, but you can edit it.
