Are flare bottom jeans on the way OUT? Will you continue to wear?

   I don't think I'll ever give up my boot cut jeans. I was glad to see the bells come back in the 1990's. Seems they're still wearing em...What do ya think about those skinny jeans? I couldn't bring myself to wear em, too dang old. As long as they don't start pushing the 'tapered fit' again. I never liked those. So what about you guys? You still wearing bells and boot cuts?

   Boot cut jeans all the way! No other jeans seem to fit right so I won't ever give up my boot cuts

      Me neither!  I think that basically anything goes these days. I don't think boot cut ever goes out of 'style'. Regardless, when trends change, our favs become hard to find.

      I wish I still had all those retroish jeans from the 70's. I had embroidered all sorts of 70's slang on them.  I saved an Alice Cooper windbreaker that I wrote all over. It's pretty tasteless.

   I prefer the boot cut myself. I think they're so much more flattering than bells. And yeah, once they start shoving a new fashion it's really hard to find the stuff you like

   I just hope low-cut jeans go out quickly. Waists are creeping up again thankfully, especially for those of us over 50.

      I can wear some low-cut, even at my age. BUT, I'm particular about what shirt I wear with em. They aren't as flattering as mid-rise.

            Oh yeah!!! I know whatcha mean there...that's why I am particular about the shirt I wear with em. Actually, you might call mine semi-low cuts but they aren't the majority population in my jean drawer.

            I can't wear low cut jeans. No matter what top I wear, I still feel like my lower back is completely exposed.

   I think boot cut makes your legs look longer,flares aren't flattering on me.

   I like my boot cuts and my skinnys but I hate the low rise.  Macy's has a line of Levi's called "Perfect Fit" jeans and they come up just above the hips - I love them and for $28.00, I could afford them

      This sounds like a great deal! I wish we had a Macy's around here!  I've found the NYDJ (Not Your Daughters Jeans) to fit really well. they are waist high, fitting right at or below the belly button. They suck you in. It's a flattering fit for us over 50 gang, though they are pricey: About $99 at Dillard's. I usually get mine for less than half that on Ebay. Just measure yourself well compared to a good fitting pair before you bid. They usually give measurements listed on the auction. I love em and they're comfy!

         I've looked at the NYDJ jeans and they are nice.  I'm sure if you did a google search for the Levi Perfect fit, you'd find them at Dillards & other stores.  Plus they come is 4 or 5 different washes.    I love that my tummy is tucked back into my jeans.

            You know, I think they have em at JC Penneys. As a matter of fact, I might have a pair of those or else it's a spin-off of the Perfect Fits. You know how one company tries to copy another and come up with a name real close to the original.

   i wear slutty, super low levi's.
   awesome.
   
   and hey, i have a bubble butt, high cut pants just don't really work with my butt...
   
   plus, its only comfy at hip-level, or lower.
   
   and i wear boot cut OR flare, they even out my shapely rear.
   but after doing yoga for some time now i can also wear straight legs fine too.
   
   low rise pants! FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Well, lets define 'flare'. Flare is NOT used to describe bellbottoms or bootcut or straight cuts. They all describe the circumference of the hem of pants but in varying degrees. It goes from:
    
    straight
    bootcut
    flare
    wideleg
    bellbottoms
    
    I am all for most styles that are a bit risque in a haute couture kind of way. Super low slung jeans can be okay in certain contexts. For any woman over the age of 35 or all men, NO!
