You were created in the image and likeness of God.(Genesis 1:26). Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness.
We were made for Gods fellowship and your heart can never be satisfied without His communion. Just like iron is attracted to a magnet, the soul in its state of hunger is drawn to God. Like thousands of others you may feel the things of this world are more alluring and more to your liking. Some day-perhaps even now as you are reading these words-you will acknowledge that there is something down deep inside you which cannot be satisfied by gaining material wealth, a job that pays really well, a position in a place that is higher than others. Whatever the case maybe. What profits a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul. Like wise as it is with the things we obtain or seek after. The more you have the more you want. You have a fairly new home and it's really nice but after the new wares off, you now want a newer model with more bathrooms or a bigger living room .... You have a new car and it's very sharp but after a couple of years the newer model sure looks more appealing. You have more clothes than will fit in your closet and the diamond rings, you don't have enough fingers to wear them all.Perhaps you like to gamble. Playing the lottery is not bad. You think... just a card here and there...whats a couple of dollars and then the next thing you know you have won ten dollars. You trade that winner in and get a few more. Wow, this time you won a hundred dollars and you think luck is on your side, then you realize you spent two hundred dollars in order to win that hundred. The next thing you know your family is going with out food or the power has been shut off because you were a hundred dollars short on paying the bill. The person you made the beat with when you lost, they got their money, didn't they? Or maybe it's a case that your desire is drugs, alcohol, sexual pleasures that never is enough. every time you get high the effect last less and less until you can no longer reach the high with that drug or drink you once did so you go for something stronger. You think you can lay it down and stop at any given time but your body craves it and with out it you feel like you can't get through the day. This is what satan makes look so good to us and fools us into thinking we aren't hurting anyone. After all we just want to have some fun. This kind of fun kills. Satan came to steal, kill and destroy. Once he gets you to believe in his lies and your are in debt up to your eye balls and you can't see your way out, he has you just where he wants you. When you steal money from family and friends to buy drugs because you no longer have a job because you lost it since you were getting to where you were getting there later and later. Then you would miss one day a week. You have become undependable. Now your family and friends don't want anything to do with you. And this is the life that started out looking so good and attractive.Satan is a liar and the father of lies
When a life is turned around to seeking God, the more of Him you get, the more you want..He can turn these things around and give you a life truly worth living.
That's the difference in physical hunger and righteous hunger. God's word says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these other things will be added (for) unto you.
That means he will satisfy your life with good things. He knows before we ask what we have need of. It isn't that God is against us having nice things. He is against us making these things an idol or a god. If you don't serve Jesus, you will never be satisfied completely. Satan has you bound into believing you don't need the Lord and that's because he wants you to serve him as a god. If you want satan to flee, go to God.Just saying the name of Jesus makes satan and his demons tremble. There is power in the very name of Jesus and He is the one that satisfies and nothing or no one else ever can or will.
God says a mind that is stayed on Him, He will keep in perfect peace.
Cry out to God, he's waiting for you and you will not be disappointed.
Oh, God you are my God; early will I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where there is no water.
(John 5:35) Jesus said,...whoever comes to me will never be hungry and whoever believes in me, will never be thirsty.
GREAT IS OUR LORD AND HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED !!!
I know you are absolutely right as no matter how much money we have or how we have good days and bad there are times I do feel empty so I fill up my cup with Jesus and I then am full.

Since I´m not very familiar with the folklore, and there seem to be quite a few ¨experts¨ here, I thought I´d ask.According to the storyline, Lucifer was the ¨highest of the high¨ or something to that effect. So, I guess that at some point, Lucifer must have had a higher ranking than Jesus. Yet,...

Explain the difference between Miracles and Magic? If you were to drop from another planet to find a magician crutching razors into needles and Jesus feeding 5000 with five loaves of bread and two fish, whom would you think has more powers, and why?

As a Christian, I understand through the teachings of Jesus that when we ask of something from God, we should ask it in the name of Jesus and it will be answered. I know how strong the intercessory power of Jesus is with Our Father in heaven.I have always had the question lurking in the back of my...

The Bible says that all one has to do is ask for forgiveness. Now being that, do you think that Satan might have already asked God for forgiveness? Now before you rattle off scripture.....I don't believe...but I could be wrong....that the Bible has nothing to say on that.
