Your thoughts?
I find it interesting to have seen this article on the same day that Yahoo released an article about how the FBI is on the social networking sites catching criminals.
Kind of ironic.
So this is like a proof that virtual world is no more a separate thing, it has very much become part of our everyday lives.
I just saw that article and posted in on my FB wall, it was about privacy online, maybe not the same one.
I would say it's "more proof" of just that. Heck, not that long ago, I saw a video of a guy who posted his relationship status change to FB DURING HIS WEDDING! Right before he "kissed the bride."
I too read or heard that. And exactly, its "more proof", now everyday we'll see more proofs.
"Facebook topped Google to become the most visited U.S. Web site last week, indicating a shift in how Americans are searching for content."
I think they've missed the point. It's not being used as a search, it's being used as a means of communicating, broadcasting and entertainment.
Something I found interesting while doing keyword research is that in a month there are over 1.1 BILLION searches at Google for the exact term facebook.
I've never understood why people type a site into a google search... just enter in the address bar..
WOW!! Thats insane, poor Google (Former Most Visited Site) must be crying in a pool of jealousy ..Goooood for Facebook, well done!!
Yes, it's nuts. The guy that created Facebook is only 25 and he's worth over $4 billion now (from what I read).
there is no point in comparing facebook and google. Both have a totally different purpose
Facebook is providing a platform for advertisers to reach a target audience and it will be more streamline and specific which is something Google has not been able to accomplish.
And without a doubt, with the most recent activity of HubPages members, utilizing FB more for sharing their article has helped to do that.
Umm I think this is stupid. FB is stupid. Atleast google gives you information. FB only lets you play games and tlk to friends.
Hmmm......? I get readers for my hubs from Facebook. I among others actually share our hubs with Facebook, when we publish them. Therefore, we do get visitors/readers/viewers.
Do they translate into clicks? Who knows, my concern is traffic.

Back-links are the main aspect of off-page SEO. There are several ways to get back-links. Social media, like posting your hubs to Facebook and Twitter, forum posting, and blog commenting are the most common. Just stay away from paid back-links, Google is cracking down on that finally. Then there is...

Hi everyone,Since Google's updates these past couple of months, I've noticed a significant traffic drop (about 20%). Every time I gain some traction and hope, it's a case of going back two steps again. I'm sure I'm not alone! I thought it might be a good idea to start a healthy discussion here to...

Looks like another content sniper is at work, stealing our shizz from HubPages. This so called "music news" site has sniped at least four of my Hubs and it looks like there are many other pieces pinched from my fellow music Hubbers as well. If you've written any Hubs about music (any kind...

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...
