This is good news for anyone wanting to opt-out of the Obama plan.

I'd like to hear from any Amish hubbers.  What do you think?

I'm not a Lawyer but wouldn't that mean that we do NOT have equal protection under the law?

We never have.  The Amish and many other religious groups are also exempt from selective service as well as Social Security laws.

I'd really like to hear the Amish perspective on this.  Do they sleep in on Sundays or something?

Do Amish people use the internet?  They are a tight-knit community.

Everytime TK gets mad and tries to pretend he's not TK, he starts sounding exactly like TK.

I am not surprised. It is in the Health Care Bill that was approved about exemptions for certain groups of people. So, some will still pay for care of others as usual, only more paying.

The truth of the matter is=The Amish folk make more money then the average person and live in large families, each has a certain responsibility in the home.

When you say "make" money, do you mean "earn" or are you accusing the community of running a counterfeitting operation?

Amish people can use the internet, or any other electric device, provided they don't have electricity at home.

That's why a lot of cell phone shops around Amish country offer charging services.

However, I would imagine most Amish people don't spend all that much time on the internet. If they were it'd probably be a search or email check using a public computer, not spending time and time again on a forum since that usually requires recurrent visits, which can be quite difficult when you don't have home internet access.

So writing hubs would be pretty challenging?

Well yes. Unless that Amish person is pretty determined to write online using hubpages and has a topic laid out before reaching the computer, I imagine being an Amish hubber would be quite difficult.
