Faith and belief is very important in human life faith about yourself and faith about that is around you it gives real mental and physical power to human body without real faith you will always feel unstable and unsatisfied you see human beings now going to stars and have everything that he needed but still unstable and unsatisfied because he dont have real faith belief and knowledge about himself and about the things around him Islam gives a real faith about human beings and the things around you.
Islam says you not borned by yoursef nor by accident some one created you and he is only God when there was nothing he created something islam says everything in this world created by God who has real power and ability to create. you just can modify the things as per your requirements and all creation is not only for eating sleeping working as per God rules but also for some fixed pray and if human beings will do so his all activity will be pray and he will be successful
Islam says life is mortal everything will be destroy at one time when time will come and that God knows and it will not be accident it will be made by God and human will be in front of God and he will be responsible to answer about his life that has been given to him and what he did
All the messege mentioned above has been sent to human beings through prophet and prophet practicaly showed to work on it by himself first and now that is in holly books Quran.

I may be wrong but pretty sure I am not on this. The Koran says that Allah created man from a blood clot. If this is true, why didn't he just create man instead of a blood clot? That is unless the blood clot was there first, which raises a lot of other questions.

this is for SirDent, hoping to make things a little clearer.  In the Quran it is stated that man is formed from a "leech like cloth".
After conception, does not a zygote form? This zygote would eventually turn into an embryo and eventually an organism; like a human.Zygotes are like "leech like cloths" since in the womb they are attached to the uterus walls getting nourishment to develop into the man that God intended.
I guess God uses science to add misery to the mystery.  Don't forget that science and logic has a lot  of answers to Spirituality, so if it is not logical at all to you after much research and thought, It probably is a load of non sense.Ha ha!

SirDent, come one. Do you apply a literal reading to the Bible? If so there are many, many questions a literal reading of the Bible raise.

If not why are you applying a literal reading to the sacred text of another religion, when you do not apply a literal reading to the sacred text of your own?

      Shabbirkhi:
Can you explain to me why you are a muslim?
Try to offer a "logical" (logic is the science that deals with the rules and tests of sound thinking and proof by reasoning) response.
Respectfully, I don't think you can do that?

Not sure what you're getting at here. Logic is no indicator as to the truth of an argument. An argument may be untrue, yet logical. E.g.

        All unicorns are pink
The animal in my garden is a unicorn
Therefore the animal in my garden is pink

This argument is logically valid as the conclusion necessarily follows on from the premises, but it is also completely untrue.

Logic is just a method of evaluation, no more no less. It says nothing about whether a belief is true, false, justified or unjustified.

    shabbirkhi -

Thank you for this informative post on the fascinating subject of Islam. The Koran is not well known to me and I found this enlightening and helpful. Very interesting thread.

What does Islam's prophet say about the men who hope for 70 virgins after they die?

Its a parable like many parables in the Bible, signifies paradise.

What sense does when thy eye be single make ?

Or me and my father are one?

parable, signifies one pointed concentration or meditation.

      Union with god.

Brenda, forget the Prophets sayings , just focus on what the Quran has, that is the truest contents of Islam that exists. Remember, Prophets were people, they were not perfect , they could very much state their interpretation of what they know from the Quran. No one knows the true interpretation to all the contents in the Book except God. You are your best guide, that is why each individual must read it themselves and interpret it themselves, don't listen to others interpretation. Most muslims do exactly that; listen to others especially the late  Prophet Muhammad ,that is why there is conflict among sects. Very pitiful , i personally don't think that mostly all muslims know what is the true Islam.

The Quran is a book cobbled together after the death of the psychopathic despot Muhammad, who claimed to have received it from an angel, alone, by himself, wandering in the desert.

Clearly, a man made book based entirely on Chinese Whispers.

        Rubbish. You demand respect? Why?

A nonsensical belief in an invisible super being is where all the problems start.

Time to quote from the good book, the quoran this time, not the bible, similar though they are in intolerance.

Qur’an 3:56 “As for those disbelieving infidels, I will punish them with a terrible agony in this world and the next. They have no one to help or save them.”

    Lovely! lol
