Why is this Hub not getting published?? Help please !!

   Hi all,
   I have been on Hubpages for a while but have found it tough to get Hubs approved.
   
   I am dutch so not a native English speaker but on the other hand I don't think my English is really bad.
   
   So far I have 1 approved Hub, but others do not get cleared for publication.
   
   For some Hubs I understand why, but for the Hub below I really have no idea.

   I have read it over and over again and feel the grammar is pretty good. The text is broken into multiple text capsules. All parts are illustrated with a related picture and there are Ebay and Amazon capsules.
   It has 770 words right now; but I feel there is not much more to say.
   
   Do not pay much attention to the right side-bar. Lots of duplicate parts there but  that is because of the copy and paste.
   
   So, if anyone likes to proofread it I would be very grateful for any comments that might get this Hubs approved.

         Cadisa, sorry, I thought it was better because the other thread was about asking how to show others an unpublished Hub.
         
         But, now it is mixing
         
         I have made the changes you suggested.
         About the affiliate link .. do you mean the "Make Money Selling Vintage Postcards"-link?
         No, that is not an affiliate link but a link to another Hub of mine that deals with just vintage postcards.
         
         I'll see if I can make a capsule about making postcards yourself at home.

      I've rated at least 10,000 hubs through Hubpages mTurk (Quality Assessment Process) so I think I can help you out, at least a little.
      
      Here is how I would rate it if it was assigned to me: 4/5, 5, 6

      Now I'll explain my ratings ...
      
      SUBSTANCE:  I would've given it a (5) but if I really think about it, your hub is probably closer to a (4).  Here's why (according to rating guidelines):
      
        - "Content relies on generalities rather than specifics" :
      
      the information in your hub is very plain, basic, general, and doesn't mention specific details.  If you mention details like "why these types of postcards are collectable (and worthy of selling)" it would make the article more interesting and useful.  You might want to do more research about postcards or add more of what you already know to your article. 
      
      I'm not an expert on postcards but I do know that certain ones *types* are highly collectable.  For example, Victorian era postcards often have cute looking animals in them.  You've included trains, which is an excellent choice, but it could be more specific to certain railroads or railroad companies... Chessie, B&O Railroad, etc...  You could probably do a hub on this one alone.
      
      Also under SUBSTANCE:
      
      "Content is unlikely to be helpful, and may contain clearly promotional material"
      
      Sorry to say this, but your content is "unlikely to be helpful" because it doesn't describe the specifics.  It doesn't seem to contain anything that most people (adults) don't already know.  It's too basic and simple, like a children's book. Sorry, but this is what I was thinking when I read it. 
      
      You said the submitted hub didn't have affiliate/sales links so that's not a problem.  BUT if you were to put them all at the bottom like that, it would certainly clutter the article, even though it's at the end.
      
      The GOOD thing is that you don't have a bunch of distracting links!  I've seen well-written hubs that were difficult to read because there was a link in almost every other sentence (links to Wiki, other websites, etc...).
      
      I've also seen quite a few hubs where half the hub consisted of links to the author's other hubs; many of which were not related to the topic.
      
      Okay... on to ORGANIZATION (5);
      
      Appearance wise, I think your hub is neatly organized which makes it easy to skim/read.  The paragraphs are nicely broken up, pictures support the content, etc... But according to the rating scale:
      
      "The content contains structure but it is not developed well enough to fully support the publisher's message".  More specifics are needed.
      
      Your main problem is that the majority (almost all) of your content does not support the title "Make Money Selling Postcards".
      
      Your hub is mostly about the different types of postcards... and does not tell us SPECIFICALLY *how* to make money selling them.
      
      GRAMMAR & MECHANICS (6)
      
      I would say that this area is not what is holding you back.  One obvious error is in the second paragraph... "use to"  should be "used to".  Your writing style is very basic but certainly understandable.  I would say that most of the articles I rate fall into the 6/7 range in this category.
      
      From what I've seen (from the hubs that hubpages gives as a test for accuracy in rating) hubpages is very forgiving in the grammar and punctuation area.  Very, very forgiving!  This is one area where we have to rate according to Hubpages guidelines and NOT according to a handbook of English grammar. 
      
      I hope this helps you.  The rating scores I gave you are how *I* would rate your article, according to how I think Hubpages wants us to rate them.  Please don't take any offense or think I'm trying to put you down ;-)

         Thank you very much for your comments. I appreciate it.
         My basic writing style is maybe because I am a not a native English speaker. I just try the best I can and well, I am glad it is considered well enough!!
         
         If I understand all your comments well, the red line is that the content is too plain and should have more details.
         I will look into that for sure.
         
         Trains - my experience is that most train collectors that also like to add postcards to their collection just care about 2 things: modern or classic trains. At least over here in Europe; maybe American collectors are more  specific in this, like single railway companies and so on.
         
         I will just have let it all sink and try to come up with improved content.

      The first thing to do is get rid of  Amazon and Ebay products. You're only allowed 1 of each. One Ebay product and one Amazon product.

         This is untrue. It's one product per capsule and you can include a lot of product capsules - up to one product per 50 words. So a 1000 word hub could show 20 products.

            That is true but unless your hub is specifically geared toward selling then it is not recommended. For instance, if his hub said "buy postcards online" and each postcard came with it's own description while encouraging the visitor to buy directly from the hub instead of directly from Amazon then that is a different matter. When placing products within content one should be careful not to make the article appear spammy.

               Of course. The sales capsules need to be used on appropriate hubs. I have a hub about making money with amazon on HP and state that clearly in it.
               
               I was just correcting galleryofgrace's erroneous statement, as a lot of people seem to think that you can only put one product on a hub and that is not the case at all.

      I have added the Ebay and Amazon capsules after it was disapproved. It was disapproved with and without these capsules.
      
      The link "Make money Selling Vintage Postcards" go to another Hub of mine. This Hub is just about VINTAGE postcards while this Hub is about modern and vintage postcards.
      This other Hub IS approved by the way !!

            I noticed it.
            
            The already published Hub is getting some traffic from Google. Not much but some so it makes a few cents daily.
            My idea behind this was making this second Hub that would get the same result, so double the earnings.
            
            I expected the content of this new Hub to be unique enough as it is about postcards in general and not just the vintage cards.
            
            I can be wrong though

   I have had to go back in and edit my hubs because theory have not been published. I have noticed that my hubs with more insightful content get published quickly. While the others not so quickly.
   Helpful tips
   
   Do more research on your topic. The more you have about your subject, the easier it will be to get it published.
   
   Put pictures, and videos, and even polls. These things can improve your hub a lot. Giving the readers a better idea on what it is you are trying to say.
   
   Take time to learn more about your subject. Don't assume you know it all. You want your hub to say it all.
   
   Read other hubs. You mentioned, your English grammar is not the greatest. Take some time, and read what others write. Take notes on how they phrase things.
