    Hi everyone,

I am having issue with the Amazon Ad Capsule as when I insert my Amazon Link, there is no preview for it and all I see is "No Amazon products found" . But when I check the link in a separate window, it works and loads the same product. Even after publishing the article, I don't see the particular product ad.  .

My Amazon ad program is active. I have changed the browsers and even logged in from different laptops, but the issue remains the same. I also do not have ad blocker installed. So i was wondering if any of you have an idea about what is going on as I have started to write back on HubPages after a long break. Maybe I have missed some changes in my absence.

Kindly guide me and help me sort this out.

    Thanks smile

I'm having that same issue.  But I have looked back at my hubs that had Amazon ads and the ads are gone.  Apparently, we are now being denied the opportunity to make a few pennies on Amazon.  I'm down to earning less that 10 cents per day on the HubPages earning system.  Seriously considering leaving HubPages . . .

HubPages is no longer using Amazon capsules.  Just use a link to the product in your text capsule.

So does this mean we don't need to do a write up of the product?

You still have to do a review of the product.  Just use a link instead of a capsule.

Can you please point me to the announcement for this change?  I seem to have missed it.

Oh my goodness, it was years ago.  I wouldn't even know where to look.

I thought it changed back a few months ago. We were advised to use in-line links and then they said we could/should use the capsules again.

So it seems the Amazon capsules are back.  I just placed one back on one of my Shakespeare sonnet commentaries.  I thought I already had one there but since it was missing I just put one there and it took.

    I believe Bev is right.

Some years ago, we were told to use in-text links, not capsules.

Then, more recently, when we still had editors working here, that advice was reversed. It became capsules, not links.

Not that it matters much to me, as my Amazon income has all but disappeared, along with the views and other income.

Maybe this is why your Amazon income has gone to zero.

Yes, I assume it's views-related. If you only get a few views, the click-through rate means there are very few, if any sales.

However, who knows? TAG is no longer obliged to share 60% of the Amazon income with us. We don't know what they take.

I was really just saying that this site is a waste of time, so I wouldn't worry about Amazon capsules.

I think it's kind of academic, as Google algorithm updates and the internet generally are constantly changing.

As the editorial advice has completely stopped, all the guides and advice are essentially frozen in time and may no longer be useful. Even if the advice was good at the time, it may now be archaic.

Still, it's nice to talk about something other than the vampiric TAG big_smile
