For anyone who upgraded to Windows 8.1, Internet Explorer 11 came with it and you may have noticed that you can enter links in your hubs through this browser.

It still works in Firefox 25, but just a heads up!

      @Bendo13
We are currently unaware of any site issues that would affect your ability to add HTML links to text in text capsules.
Are you still having the issue in Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 8.1?
What is specifically occurring when you attempt to add a link in a text capsule?
Is it occurring for one type of capsule, one specific instance of a capsule, in all Hubs, etc? I currently do not have access to a Windows 8.1 machine, but have 2 of them and can test this later if the issue persists.

In the meantime, as you observed, we would advise anyone running into this issue in Internet Explorer 11 to try another browser like Chrome, Firefox, etc.
Please try clearing your cache as well.
Here are some general browser trouble shooting steps.

I was editing an old hub, typed some text into a text capsule, highlighted the bold text and went to hyperlink it... Pasted in my link and hit the insert button and it didn't do anything.  Kept hitting the button and nothing would happen.

How about not using IE 11 and trying earlier versions with 8.1?

Why revert back to an older version when I can just use Firefox?

I thought you used that except for a certain problem.

Yeah, but why use an older browser with a newer system, just to work around one issue on one website?
This is the only real issue I've come across with IE11, and I've been using it a while.

Firefox is always my backup for minor issues like this.

I just tested in Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 and was able to confirm that the "insert" button (when you click to add a link using the link button in the dialog) is, indeed, not working.
I have forwarded this issue to our engineering team so they can address the issue and deploy a fix.
There is workaround in IE11, however.
You can add links using the HTML view in the following format.
      <a href="http://www.sitegoeshere.com">Text you would like to link</a>

This appears to be isolated to IE11 as I tested in Windows 8.1 using Chrome 30.0.1599.101 m, Firefox 25, and Opera 17.0.1241.53 and none of them had the issue.

        Sounds good!
I didn't realize we had an HTML view on here.

Yep.  When you are editing a text capsule, the HTML view button is on the far left of the toolbar that has the link tool and other buttons.

Ah OK, I'll use that next time as a work around.

There appear to be some major issues with Internet Explorer 11 right now that are not specific to HubPages

We suggest using the latest stable version of Firefox for the best HubPages experience.

We just deployed a fix for this issue.
I tested using Internet Explorer 11 and the link tool is working again.
If you are still having problems, make sure to clear your browser cache and restart your computer.
