Financial Freedom - Has anybody found it yet?
I made a bet with one of my frat brothers that I could reach financial freedom (making enough money from passive income to cover living expenses) by June 6th of next year. I started a Hub series on it, and in the latest entry, I detailed my plan of reaching my goal of $2,000 a month by the deadline. I wanted to ask if anyone here on Hub Pages had already reached financial freedom, or if they know of anyone personally who is able to live off of passive income. And if so, how did you / they do it?

Yes, my 12 hubs earn me $2000 per month . . . er sorry, make that 20 cents per month. The rest comes from elsewhere.

Like you though, I too am on the same quest. After around 3 posts in one forum I've made around $100 in 3 months through one referel program which I have just written a hub about. I have recently been using another program which has proven to be even more beneficial which has brought in close to $200 in the same period of time. Both can be found here on my hub at http://hubpages.com/hub/web-hosting-and-free-domain

Good Luck!As I stated above, I do have financial freedom, and an income of, lets say, $2000 and 20 cents per month, and it is all passive income; the 20 cents being from hubpages and the rest from elsewhere. And it only works for me because I live in a country with a low cost of living, and my house is paid for.

I'm working on reaching my goal of financial freedom. I think in a year or two I will reach that point. Lately I've been able to make $1,000 a day from trading a $15,000 account
Started out with $5,000 deposit back on 09.18.09 and its now at $17.3K or over $12,000 of profit.nope not yet, and far from it i guess
for some kind of reason i just can't concentrate anymore on my targets.
i really need to make a plan like you misthaven, but i think because i lost my job, i am now more occupied with finding another one and being able to pay the bills, and all of that, before i start out again, or so i think.
I suffer a bit from info overload and to much work, i am making my own e-course with books, video's and audio's, websites, i make blogs for people, often i just don't find the time anymore to concentrate on the marketing part and trying to grow my business.

I admit to being a gold bug since 2002. However, I am not so sure now. Any move up in gold will probably be caused by inflation worry. But prices may not follow, because no matter how much money is printed, the big deal is getting it out into the economy. My guess is that the reluctance of most people to take on any more debt will slow price increases for a while, so the US$ will stay pretty much where it now is.
Also, don't expect a government which has the power to call gold in to let us peasants cash in on big increases in gold prices. You might be interested in my hub, "Financial Musings" and also consider silver coins.
