The Cavs are 0-2 to start the season and their defense seems lousy.  I wonder if they are adjusting to having Shaq, or if he's just a bad fit for the team because he's so slow.  The lowlights of watching the Cavs defend the pick and roll were rough.  They are just too slow in rotation.  I'm not sure if they have the personnel to fix the issue...I wonder where they go from here.

I'm sure they will get better. Sooner or later, they make the adjustment they need.

After starting 0-2, it's easy to wonder if Shaq is a help or hindrance.  I think Shaq helps, but they still need more and better outside shooting to utilize him well.  A mobile power forward in the mold of the now-departed Drew Gooden would help, also.  Too much of the burden falls on James to carry the team offensively.

If things don't improve, maybe they can all just get together and play Scrabble. Shaq is a master at Scrabble. smile

Shaq have to realise he cannot still think he is still an intimidator because of his size, the cavs is a fast paste offense who is slowing them down, for crying out loud sakes the guy still can't shoot a free throw. come on they pay you millions to just work on one thing in the off seasons, lol

personally, i never thought shaq was going to resolve any of the cavs issues during the offseason because there are still a few teams out there that are better than they are, even with shaq.  shaq isn't the same guy who took the lakers to 3 straight titles or the guy who took a young magic team to the finals against hakeem olajuwon.  no, this is an aging shaq.  he's not the dominate force he used to be.  thats why i told several of my friends, that if they had signed ron artest in addition to shaq, then i would've been impressed.  shaq is at an age where i think he could benefit any team as long as he's willing to accept a complimentary role like he did with the heat.  however, since it seems like cavs have nothing but mostly has beens on their team, outside of LeBron, it looks like shaq is going to have to be the second option.  which is sad because i think had they manage to snag artest away from the lakers, they would've been a force to be reckon with as ron would become the 2nd option on the team and shaq would be a solid 3rd option.  however, now its too late.

It took Phoenix a good quarter of the season to get use to having Shaq on the team.  I'm sure the Cavs will be better once everything starts to click.

Shaq is funny- he is a huge force to be reckoned with when he wants to be. To me he seems a little lazy to get back. I know he is getting older - but at times he picks his pace up so well that he comes back on "D" and its hard for anyone to come inside. I think he needs a motivator. James won't let him slouch- he is more of a winner at heart. Those 2 losses probably kill him.

The Cavs won't make it to the NBA Finals. Chemistry has a lot to do with winning in the NBA. Chemistry is not something Shaq is good at. He takes up too much space on offence which means the lane won't be so wide open for LeBron
