I wrote down a list of everything I hated In my work to help me figure what I did want in my everyday job.   Than wrote a list of what I wanted and looked at it everyday for 3 months and watched the change happen.  I got complacent and I started getting the old stuff back.

All the time.  In a book that I read about this topic, the guy wrote about the 'Kinetic Web'.  Each and every thought you have is made of energy.  This energy goes out from you and into this "web" of energy that passes from person to person until it is solved or acted apon.  You have to be careful when using this.  It works for good and bad.

Sure, it sounds goofy, but I have a lot of fun with it.  I wanted a deep brown leather couch.  So, I put that idea out on the "kinetic web".  About a week later, a neighbor placed a very nice deep brown leather couch/bed on the curb.  It needed to be cleaned up a little bit, but for free, I'll take it.  And I did. Then I thought that it would be nice to have a love seat to go with it.  A few days later, another fellow put out a matching love seat.   The love seat was like brand new.

This works best when you believe that it will work.

Perhaps, you may try to adapt a Paradigm Shift and a Growth Mindset.  It works. . .

In psychology, paradigm is how we perceive reality or our views about the world.  A Paradigm shift is a sudden change of our perception, a change in our point of view or how we see things. I suggest you can start doing the following things:
    1) make your own self-evaluation about your strengths and weaknesses and how you view your present life
    2) make a list of what you want to change
    3) make your own plan of actions and your timetable of how and when you want to achieve it
    4) stick to your timetable
    5) you may also read self-help books such as Stephen Covey's - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
    6) ask your family and friends to help you start a new paradigm

Whereas, "Growth Mindset" is that the person thinks that he can still do something in order to surpass all obstacles in life.  He is open to new ideas and technology.  He is willing to learn and grow.

You have to adapt a growth mindset first before you can start with the paradigm shift.

    Goodluck!

When I was a kid I read this book, Illusions; the adventures of a reluctant messiah. In the book it stated that if you can truly understand the nature of existence you will realize that you can walk through a wall because there is no wall, its an illusion and its nature is decided by you, you could also swim in the earth if you believed it was liquid etc. So after finishing this book I got up and walked right into the closest wall! Was it that I did not totally accept the illusionary nature of the wall? Was I too attached to the belief that walls are solid objects that I cannot pass through (remembering that I do believe that all matter is mostly empty space, atoms are mostly empty space)? Or is it possible that walls are truly solid and every time I try to walk through one I am going to smash my nose?

I just had to share this as this thread reminded me of my efforts as a kid to walk through walls big_smile

I like to meditate from time to time and I rember a time I thought iI was melting into the bed.  I also tried to tuch my nose to the ceiling while imaging I was floating away from my bed.  When some one walked into the house I woke up thinking I was going to fall to my bed just to see in amaze I never left.  I thought I would share that with you walking into the wall made me think of that. LOL   tina thanks for the tip on pardigms I will work on them.  I had heard Bob proctor talk about them and your steps were put clearly.
