Thailand is the best place for a conference of that magnitude. Besides it's "equidistant" from most places too!
Would love to come! You should host it in Atlanta one year and I'd be able to make it! But I think you should def talk about linking, seo, driving traffic and title selections.
Perhaps Atlanta can be a location for a subsequent meeting
We'll definitely work on those topics!
Hi I am in southern CA, depending on the date I would love to attend!!! I am interested in driving traffic to my hubpages and back linking. I am also interested in learning more about the affiliate tracking, I don’t have a grasp on that yet and I know that I am missing out on the potential revenue that I could be gaining from it. Once you have a date please let us know so that I can plan it!
Awesome! We should have a final date soon, and we'll definitely cover most of those topics.
Hub Team, it is a great idea! However, I cannot attend because I live on the East coast!
This is a great idea, unfortunately I am in Florida. I know there was a thread some months ago, about a Hub Pages Writers Conference, which Hub Camp sounds like. Habee and quite a number of other hubbers expressed an interest so you shouldn't have any shortage of attention on this. Let us know about the online component as well. Maybe a Vlog site? That way different hubbers could post a short video log about their experience! Even a YouTube channel, Hub Pages Hub Camp Videos! Yeah, I would definitely subscribe to that channel.
We're on it! Thanks for the recommendations!
I think this is an excellent idea, and it looks like more will be held at different venues.
Is it possible, though, for hubbers who won't be able to make these events for whatever reason, to get something like a PDF file of the important info covered? I wouldn't mind paying for such a document as long as it's reasonably priced.
Yeah! We'll definitely have components that people who can't make it in person can get. And don't you worry- they'll be free XD
Just thought of a topic that I'd like to see covered, namely, the subject of "overly promotional" hubs. I'm assuming that most Hubbers here want to make some money from their hubs and often have links to affiliate and other web sites that aren't endorsed by HubPages. Why does a hub that has the excellent content and superior writing that HubPages is looking for but that also meets the "overly promotional" standard have to be penalized? Is it because HP can't get a portion of this revenue? I just don't get it.
Did you see our video tutorial on the subject? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOeDrQmXxGI
Do you have a date yet? I will need to schedule time off work (unless you will have wifi in the building as I work online, but my girlfriend works offline and we need to plan for this...
This is really great. I would love to attend. But its so far away from where I am. I can make it, if the next camps are done in India, Singapore, Malaysia or anywhere in the Middle-east.
Best Regards
There shall definitely be more events in new locations in the future, so not to worry!
Sounds great. Any plans to come to the UK in the future?
Sky's the limit, really. We'll roll out more of a program around November. Keep an eye out for it!
Simone seems to be very pro-active. But Never acknoledged my post! I am sad
Is there something that I can not understand, and speculate? May be this is an American only event?
Sorry SunSeven! I'm still edging my way into the forums and haven't been checking them as much as I should.
HubCamp certainly isn't an American-only event! We're hoping to have them all around the world, so I'm quite glad you're interested!
It happened! Last night. Materials to go up in the learning center soon XD
@SimoneSmith -- I shall come to US next year to attend grad school. Wont miss it that time for sure.
Oh, how awesome! That's quite exciting- and I do hope you can make it to a future HubCamp! We'll be having them in lots more locations, so hopefully you won't have to travel far- even within the US borders.
I will definitely attend the one in Reno, Nevada! I think one great idea would be for all in attendance to write a story together -- just give us a subject and let us go to it.

Hello Hubbers!I'm really curious about which websites everyone refers to while looking up information for their hubs. This query of mine was sparked by this forum discussion: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/133532#post2771210Or does everyone use information from: your experience, books, TV, etc.?...

With the recent google algorithm change, i noticed that hubbers who have spent 4 - 5 years are those having their subdomain slammed by google. Why?

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the types of services we offer Hubbers and how to help Hubbers improve.A few services that have been suggested- grammar and spell checking- suggesting edits- providing images/media upon request- formatting help (breaking hubs into multiple text capsules,...

A few changes this week...Those of you who are familiar with the old method of voting will notice that there are now 6 (six) candidates in each of 3 (three) topic categories, all vying for your vote.We hope this will raise the visibility of our HubNuggets Weekly Contest and increase the potential...
