Okay, so I made a big step today. I actually uploaded a picture of myself (My real picture(s) although I chose a fake name) and did a full and complete profile on www.pridedating.com, but I'm not exactly sure that this website is going to work well with me. To be honest the website is a little disorganized and they only seem to want to make money and not actually help you find someone to talk to or whatever. I heard eHarmony has a special website for gay individuals and I really liked eHarmony when I had a membership in the past (when I thought I was straight) because of how clean and organized everything was...and so I am thinking about that because I would rather pay the extra money to do it right then to look at a bunch of profiles which have not even been online for a long time. (Or worse yet looking at pornographic material...gross!)
Well, my work for today is done! Let me know what you might find helpful...otherwise it is just the gay clubs for me, and I have met some great people that way, too!
The cool thing about eHarmony is that you can do a safe phone call through their service to protect giving out your phone number or location...anyhow, those are some thoughts.
Wait, eHarmony didn't tell you that you were going to burn in hell for being gay? They've come a long way then!
Have you tried OK Cupid? My gay friends like that site.
Good luck to you Peter, I wish you all the best. If you have a facebook account, I know you can access their affiliate dating site zoosk which is free also, and it's just as easy to use as facebook itself. Or you can try "plenty of fish in the sea" website, as i heard that's a good one as well. Anyways, i hope you find what your looking for, and don't be ashamed to be who you are either. trust me, it never feels good to have to pretend to be something your not. the important thing is you have to do what's best for you. sure, others can point the way for you but in the end, it has to be your choice.
Wow! That is great to know. I do have a facebook account so I will try that out. Right now I met a really nice guy off of gaypride and he is really sweet and lives only a few hours away. He even loves the same things I do like hiking, so I am having a really great time and i love my life right now.
Most dating services are just for making money. If you go to the bottom of that site you will see an affiliate link.
There you can sign up and make money off the site by pushing members to sign up. Yes I push dating sites.
Most have real members, but often the amount of members is inflated. I push dating sites for transsexuals, ladyboys, crossdressers and sissys.
Amazing how many of them are out there looking for others. ![]()
Yeah...I really don't have to money to dish out like that.
I belong to a few, but, I really don't care for most of them. A lot of the guys who are on there are just looking for quick sex. I can't tell you how many times I have received a message from some guy, (With no photo) saying. I have an hour to kill want to come over? I usually don't answer those, unless they have a picture and they are hot. But, that has only happened 3 times, out of the hundreds of guys that I have talked to online. And, then they never want to chat with you again.
But, I recently found a better way to meet guys, and that is through gay camping. I've met a lot of great guys, and made a large number of new friends. People that I can actually meet with, and have a drink, and socialize with. Not just hit up whenever they are online, only to be dropped when someone hotter pops on. It is certainly more fun than going to a bar, and there is less pressure on you to do anything you don't want to do...like paying out the ass for over priced drinks.
If you hook up with a good crowd of people while camping, the drinks will come your way without having to ask. People are just way more relaxed at a gay campground than in a bar. Also, there is no level of "desperate" as there is online. And, very few closet cases and liars.
That's cool. I know there is this summer camp called "Camp" Camp...lol. I am thinking about going there. It does cost money, but hopefully they will let me work a little for some of the money.
How do you get hooked up for gay camping?
You can do a search on the internet for gay and lesbian campgrounds. There are many scattered all over the US. Some very small, and some huge, like the Sawmill in florida. Some are seasonal, but, there are some in the southern states that are open year round. Canada also has gay campgrounds, as I heard they also have in Europe.
Sounds much like how Religion grew.
Gay campgrounds have been around since the 1970's. And, some gay bars even longer. In fact, back in the 1980's there were probably more bars and clubs then there are today. Quite a few of the older clubs, and bath houses in particular were owned by straights who knew how to cash in on the gay dollar, which back in the 1980's was a lot of money!
When AIDs came along, most of the places that were owned by straights closed up. And, the gay clubs started re-organinizing themselves, or going for a target audience. A lot got richer, and a lot closed their doors. I can remember a time when Chicago had a huge list of bars and clubs, not anymore. So it's not growing. It's just getting better.
AIDs has been a great scare, Religions had quoted that God has his way of punishing gays, Yet, when you Average up the % of Men/Women Aids for gays, it's about the same for Straights
Apparently God LOVES lesbians. HIV/AIDS rates among lesbians are lower than heterosexuals by bunches. Of course the bible says nothing about woman laying with woman either.
Which leads me to conclude that God is either 1. A sexist (you poor men) or 2. That he digs lesbian porn as much as your average "Christian" male.
Which, btw, any Christian that has ever rented a girl-on-girl movie or watched one on the web to get their rocks off should have their junk turn black and fall off the second they say homosexuality is an "abomination"
No wonder why I feel like a lesbian trapped in a male body and lesbian have less Aids than Straights
All because the bible says so..????
Thank you for making my morning with this post!
Hi Folks, great to see your free and easy chatting here. It's a change to see no vitriol like you get in some other hubs. I just would like to share a little humor with you, if you don't mind.
A very camp guy arrived at the Pearly Gates, and was greeted with some Rules and Don't Do's for living in Heaven. He was told in no uncertain terms that he was not allowed to "force himself" on anyone without their consent.
After trying his luck with a few people, he was sentenced to Hell for eternity.
St. Peter was doing his Inspection of the dungeons some time later, and found the place in darkness. No fire, no devils, no activity, no torture chambers in use.
At last St. P finds Satan hiding in a corner, looking very forlorn and unhappy.
"Why are you not looking after this place?" St Peter asks. " What has happened to the Fires of Hell?"
Satan replies, "Whenever I go out searching for firewood and I bend down to pick it up, do you know what happens, St. Peter?"
"Don't bother," replies St. Peter, let me have a guess!!!!
That's a hard case statement to make about a Gay site Bill ![]()

There are so many dating sites these days. It's hard to tell which ones are legitimate.
Hi Peter, I've heard match.com is a pretty good site. So I checked if they also cater to the lesbian/gay community. They do! Check them out. Here's something interesting from this site...
Surprising Facts About the Match.com LGBT Community
>>> The top three cities to find a gay man are (in order): Washington, D.C.; New York, New York; and Los Angeles, California <<<<
Isn't that interesting? If you live in one of these cities, you're in the right place. If not, maybe you should consider moving? lol just kiddin!
Good luck, Peter, and always be careful. ![]()
there are tons of sites, a lot for making money but one you can use for free with a huge member base is plenty of fish. It's not specifically designed for gay/lesbian/bisexual people but you can set out your profile to only display other gay users who are looking for the same as you. If nothing else you may make friends. My gay male friends are big fans of grindr but I'm not to sure about that being female while its aimed at men.
I wouldn't pay for any dating site ![]()
I hope this helps
