   I just saw this button om My Account page. Is this new? And what does it mean?

      I guess if it's applied to a hub, that's it! Possibly a hub which clearly breaks TOS purposefully. ?

      I typed the word in the Search box first to see if there was a thread already about it, but didn't find one.
      I assume whatever is tagged with this means no chance for republishing  or something like that.

   I'd say it's new.  I'm not seeing any sort of official announcement or description yet, so it must be really, really new.
   
   According to dictionary.com, "irrevocable" means "Not able to be changed, reversed, or recovered; final."  Sounds like admin has created some sort of hub classification that can't be changed or altered once it's applied to a Hub.  Looks like moderation is about to get really serious.
   
   I bet we get an announcement/explanation later today.

      Certain rules violations (like the spamming/abuse of other sites to obtain sketchy backlinks for your Hub) have always been "irrevocable," meaning that the Hub cannot be brought into compliance and will never be republished.  Now, it's just part of the software, making the mod team's job easier.
      
      This change is part of a wider effort to improve the flagging/moderating process easier for both users and staff, in terms of clarity.

         Are you going OK with the flagging Maddie?
         I have been flagging them in the hope that if hubpages can be sans junk, Mrs Google will love us again.... I took a bit of a hit on my figures, I want them back!

            I am always grateful when users take the time to flag low-quality and spammy content.  Also, soon, as a part of the changes I mentioned above, we'll have a more specific flagging system that I think will make things a lot easier for all of us.

   What if it is geared towards a hub that has been flagged as spam. They could mark it a irrevocable meaning the hub can not come back into population with the original url or resubmitted for review. basically its toast.

    I saw it too. Initially I thought it seemed a bit harsh, but I can kind of understand its usage. Think about it this way:
    
    You're a mod and there's this hub you had to take down because it's a bunch of spam, so you unpublish it.
    
    The user changes the hub slightly, reposts it.
    
    You see that it is essentially still a spammy, worthless hub, so you unpublish it.
    
    The user makes more minute changes to it, reposts it.
    
    You see that it is essentially still a spammy, worthless hub, and it's obvious the hubber is "getting it." You hit 'irrevocable.'
    
    The user must completely redo the hub.
