There seems to be an extra http on the links I've put on my profile page, so when clicked they don't go anywhere. Will I have to correct all these manually?
The links I've checked within my articles all work, it's just my profile page and I've checked a few other profile pages and they don't work either.
Er.. have you tried to edit them within your dashboard?
Well of course I could change them all by hand. I'm just alerting people to check their profile pages.
I checked mine - both in-text links and those provided by HP have no problem.
I found a fix, just turn naked URL links into intext links.
Mine are alright, you may have entered it twice or are you saying they just appeared like that, cos they have done some major sub domain upgrading and stuff.
Correction. All my links going to HubPages pages now have an extra http, making them incorrect. You people who have said "mine are correct" don't have links to hubpages articles.
Mine are fine too. Could be a problem that is only affecting a small percentage of profiles.
Mine are working just fine. I think the easiest solution is to edit your profile so that you don’t have very many bloggers here checking on your profile page. Better still, you can contact Hubpages directly.
This is the report a problem forum. I thought I was contacting HubPages
Mine are fine, why did you tell me om Facebook they weren't working? Could it be your problem?
Edit: The one "naked" url on my profile does not work, everything else is okay
Did you type your link in as it appears?
http://_tinar/profile/TinaAtHome
It should be http://tinaathome.hubpages.com/_tinar
I think, I'm not sure how trackers work with the new domains.
I did not type my link in as it now appears.
When I typed it in it had hubpages.com in it and not my subdomain. I haven't changed these links for a long time and now they are not working.
I have another hubpages ID and I've put trackers on my profile page and they have changed over to working links.
These hubbers have links on their profiles that don't work.
It's not just me

Thank you for posting this, Tina. It's too common for it to be a fluke; it must be a bug. I'll file this with engineering.
Thanks Jason. It would be useful to know if I should correct mine manually or if it will be fixed automatically.
Jason,
I just looked at my profile and the links that were broken were internal ones that had trackers in them. Hub links without trackers and external links were all fine.
My profile hub links have trackers and they're fine.
Yes, it looks like that's the pattern. I've reported this to engineering.
It would be useful to have something that reports broken links on the profile page to us. We currently get notified of broken links within hubs, can you extend it to the profile page too?
I've manually fixed mine, but considering it was reported 6 weeks ago I wonder how long they have actually been broken.
If you report it however (in this forum, to team@, using the flag feature) then it should get routed to the right party here.
I apologize for the delay - the bug probably appeared as we were making the monumental migration to subdomains. A lot of bugs appeared then.

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

How do you add a link to your profile page? Like a link to sign up for hubpages kind of thing?I want to add a link to my profile pages so my friends can sign up for hubpages from my page how do I do this?

It would be useful to be able to sort our hubs into categories on the profile page. This would make it easier for readers to see what else is available in subjects that interest them, and also remind writers to work on a niche. I think the option was available on the old profile page - was it...

I'm looking for examples of people who have really good profile pages. What do you think a good profile should contain? Who amongst the people you follow do you think has a really good profile page, and why?
by Shasta Matova 11 years ago
I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...
