Where do you find pictures for your hubs without paying for them or violoating copyrights?

I think if you find some on a website that you like, you could use them as long as you put a "images from www.*****.com" with a hyperlink to the site. However, I'm not sure what the law is on that, but you are at least giving them credit for the images and not just stealing them.

If you want to be 100% sure your not breaking the law, go to the DMCA (Digital Millinium Copyright Act) Wiki page for more info

You really should try and use copyright-free photographs or ones you took yourself.

Stockxchange is a good place to get free photographs, you just have to pay attention to the terms of each photograph. http://www.sxc.hu
Or you can search the Creative Commons at http://www.flickr.com

I have used a couple of pictures of celebrities with the website I got them from underneath; but I don't make a habit of it.

You can put photographs of the cover of a book or DVD you are reviewing in a website or article and it's considered fair use.

Yeah, that sounds like better advice than what I gave you, all the images I use on my hubs are copyright to the company I work for, or I own the copyright on them.

You can use any you create or you can go to many sites that allow free use of images. A simply "royalty free images" site would give you basically what your looking for.

What most Hubbers overlook, still to now, to my disbelief, is they don't look for a Graphic Designer to create Special graphics for them to use in there hubs! I mean, they make logos and simple forum signatures for where there allowed and site banners and icons and everything, so why not use them as a resource?
